Hello quilters, A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT It was great to see many of you at the September meeting. I appreciate the positive response to the circle activity and also hearing that you liked the demos done that night. I would like to incorporate more of this type of activity in the months ahead. This month our guest speaker is Timna Tarr and I hope you all get a chance to look at her website (www.timnatarr.com) before the meeting to see the beautiful quilts she has done. If you haven t signed up for the workshop on Friday yet, there may still be some room. At the next meeting the board will be looking for some feedback about plans for the future. We have some ideas and are looking for more suggestions on ways to give the membership what it would like to participate in as a member of the guild. If you were able to make some placemats for the Meals on Wheels program, bring them to the meeting. Maybe some of you were able to use the fabric from Shirley Saulnier s stash for this project and we would love for you to share that with the group. If your membership is not paid yet, be sure to see Susan VanDerhoof to take care of that. This will be a great time to sign up for the Quilt Away planned for Nov. 2-4 on Cape Cod as well. This week it feels like Fall is in the air, and for me that means cleaning up the garden and looking forward to more time to quilt. Hope to see you all October 1st. Ruth Sears, President 1
