I hope everyone had a great summer and made lots of sawdust. We have some great presentations lined up for the remainder of 2015. Mark your calendars as you will not want to miss the remaining programs. Don t forget Wood Expo at Johnson s Workbench on September 11 & 12. We will have a large presence at this event with several of our members exhibiting as well as teaching classes. Lots to see and do at this event so come on out. Some great bargains on wood packages as well. We can always use a hand in our booth helping to promote the guild. Thanks to our guild members who came out on August 29 to help build 76 cars for a children s activity that we will be hosting on Saturday at the Expo. Those helping with the car build were Bill Lang, Ed Ludwig, Russ Rogers, Brian Lundy, Karen Mahoney, Chet Kasinski, with a special thank you to Tom Dowling who volunteered his beautiful shop for the location of the build. And thanks go out to all our members who worked the Dewitt Ox Roast on August 21. A special thanks to Ed Ludwig and his wife Bridget who stepped in at the last minute to manage the group when Terry Kirk had a scheduling conflict. We provide workers for this event as a way of saying thank you to the Dewitt Memorial Building Committee who provide us with our meeting space at no cost to the guild. 2016 elections will be coming up in November. If you would like to serve on the board please talk to me or one of the board members. We are starting to put together the program schedule for 2016. If you have any ideas or if there is something you would like to see let us know. Our program for this month will be a presentation on wood glues presented by Bob Behnke of Titebond. If you were at Bob s presentation last year you know that this will be a very interesting and informative program. Hope to see everyone there. Denny
