Band Summary Just 4 Kixx plays a wide range of music leaning toward funk, R&B and Motown. We can play classic rock with the best of the best. The band is very versatile! We are a five piece group consisting of guitar, keyboards, drums, and bass. The band is fronted with excellent male and female lead vocals. Who does Just 4 Kixx sound like? Think: Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power,, Stevie Wonder, Grand Funk, etc. Just 4 Kixx is made up with professional musicians that know how to work a room and are very capable entertainers. Just 4 Kixx band members have been featured in regional newspapers as well as frequent mentions on various Chicago radio stations. Many of the members have had extensive national touring experience. Band Bios Liz Kearney Lead Vocals: Lead singer Liz Kearney fronts the band with her incredible vocal talents. She has sung and acted for years throughout the Midwest in numerous theatre and stage productions, and spent a decade performing, touring and recording as lead vocalist in the nationally renowned Celtic group Donnybrook. Liz is known for her dead on renditions of rock and R&B classics from the girl groups of the 60 s through modern female as well as male artists of today. Greg Remaly Lead Guitar / Vocal: Greg Remaly began playing guitar professionally at age 16 and by age 19 was touring the U.S. and Canada. He spent 7 years playing with the Peter Guerin Show, a Chicago-based 10 piece show band. From 1984 through the late 1990 s, Greg played with Rick Saucedo and the Fabulous Ambassadors. After splitting with Saucedo, Greg along with The Ambassadors shared the stage with a number of famous musicians and bands including D.J. Fontana and the Jordanaires, J.D. Sumner and the Stamps, Tommy Roe, Sunny Geraci and the Outsiders, The Chantels, Don & Juan, The Spaniels, and many more.
Gerry Sasso Drums / Vocals: The heat and the beat of the band comes from veteran drummer Gerry Sasso. Gerry has performed with Chicago s most popular entertainers including Danny and the Twisters, Band on the Run, The Fabulous Ambassadors with Elvis impersonator Rick Saucedo, and Elvis tribute artist Trent Carlini. He recorded and toured with the original blues band Molasses, performed shows with Alice Peacock, and played the Legends shows from Vegas. Gerry s skills appear on numerous impressive recordings, and he has completed two national tours. Rockin! Ric Opal Bass: Ric started playing bass when he was young after being kicked out of the marching band. He has played in numerous groups over the years, including performances with Bryan Lubeck, John Angotti, Double Take, Old But Not Dead, See Dick Rock and many other guest appearances with other great groups and musicians. Ric is influenced by bass players such as Victor Wooten, James Jamerson, Geddy Lee, and Marcus Miller. He has also been blessed to attend Victor Wooten s Bass Nature camp more than once. (yeah he needed the repeat class!) Fred Broderick Keyboards / Lead Vocals: Fred has been a professional musician for over 30 years. He started his musical journey playing at Chicago area high school proms. After touring 3 years with the horn band Shabang, he formed a quartet called Shayne, which produced an album. During that time, he was also performing at all of the Rush Street hot spots and Disco clubs in Chicago. His talent lead him to both the Hacienda and the Legends room at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas where Fred worked with the best Elvis entertainers in the world. His international travels have given him the opportunity to open for such greats as Neil Diamond, Joe Cocker, Bubby Rich, and a host of others. Today, in addition to performing, he has his own recording studio.
