I. COURSE AIMS Students will be presented large amount of complex information within one week; therefore, the main aim is to teach basic concepts of Human Genome and Human rights, Protection of patients rights, Protection of personal Data which are applicable in a clinical setting. The extensive additional reading will be provided for students who would like to learn more about in 1. Ethical Aspects in Research in Medicine, 2. Beginning of Life Artificial insemination, assisted pregnancy, abortion, 3. The End of Life: Who decides when and how? 4. Medical Information: the right of individual and community to medical information; use and misuse of med. information; ethics of publishing professional results, 5. End of Life -The quality of life; «assisted» suicide; euthanasia; terminal care; intensive care units, 6. Genetic Problems: Eugenics; genetic «screening»; Gene therapy. 7. will be focused on important concepts of Human rights. II.
