Cover Image: Iris Eyes by Dick Balnicky Dick was a long time member of Pilchuck camera club who had recently returned to the club and had been enjoying the outings and getting to know those of us that had joined while he was away. I didn t get the chance to know him as much as others in the club had, but as I think about the beautiful images he shared with us in particular the many incredible landscape images. But for me this image Iris Eyes is what gave me a connection with Dick as a photographer. One evening he showed this image during competition and for me it jumped off the screen. I had not had much interaction with him up to that point but after the show I quickly mentioned in passing how much I loved this image. Later at another club meeting that both Dick and I belonged to he approached me and thanked me for taking the time to let him know how much I liked the image. He said it had made his night to know that someone else enjoyed the beauty of this image. As I hear more about this talented photographer from those who knew and loved him, I only wish that I had gotten the chance to get to know him a bit better before he left this earth. Rest in peace Dick. More images by Richard Dick Balnicky Dick Balnicky 4 July 2015
