President s Corner... Greetings Turners, We are continuing to make progress on our preparation for the Ellsworth demo. We still need several people to help take down equipment and clean up the facility Sunday evening. I will be asking the hands-on participants to assist in this task. We also need a couple of people to help with moving some of the lathes. We need to have some wet birch, cherry or maple for Ellsworth to work with. If anyone has one of these trees with sound wood that needs to come down, let me know at the next meeting. Otherwise, I will be scouting around for a source. I expect to have a new source for discount turning tools by the time of the meeting which is Carter and Son Tool Works from Seattle, Washington. I will have more details then. With the Ellsworth demonstration taking the place of the October meeting, I want to remind everyone that our Show and Sale will be happening on December 3, so get ready for that. I also want to encourage you to display your work even if you don't want to sell. Many of you do very nice work and give it for gifts, etc., the quality being as good as is being produced at other clubs. The more tables that we can have at the Show and Sale, the more interest we will have from the visiting public. Lastly, don't forget to bring a piece or two of your surplus wood for the raffle.
