Saturday May 6&7- Just in Time for Mother s Day Spring Craft Show Napanee Fairgrounds, inside the Arena 9am-5pm each day This is a fundraising event for 4-H. We will also have our cookbooks for sale there and a used book sale. We still have room for some vendors..if you can t be a vendor, come out and be a shopper! We have many talented craftspeople coming with stained glass, barbed wire art, handmade children and baby clothes, sewing, knitting, crochet, alpaca socks, musical instruments from bamboo, home décor, jams and jellies, several types of hand-made jewelry, bath and body products, wooden items, mosaic art, doll clothes plus more. We also have vendors with your favourite products from 31 Gifts, Jewelry in Candles, Scentsy, Milk and Cookies, Avon, Tupperware, Sew Cute Baby, Adagio Naturals, Jamberry Nails, Lockets and Charms, Steeped Tea, Pampered Chef, LegSmart, Umbrella Creations, MaryKay and more. Please spread the word to your friends and family..help us make this a successful day for 4-H and our vendors. We will be having a used book sale table. CLUB NEWS Bird Watching Club At the last meeting of the bird watching club, we learned how to adjust our binoculars, then we went outside to see if we could find any birds. We found some sparrows,robins,woodpeckers,crows and chickadees.then we went inside and did the parliamentary procedure elections and then we talked about the next meeting at Prince Edward Point bird watching protected area on May 7th. Grace Davis Beef Club Our first meeting of the year was a success. 9 of our 11 members were there. The two new members were given a warm welcome from the fabulous kids we have in our club. CLOVERBUD CORNER The first cloverbud meeting was on April 23 rd. We had a great turnout with 8 members. We talked about our hobbies and got to know each other. This month our topic was bugs, butterflies and pollinators. We played a game, did crafts, learned a lot and each member got a package of flower seeds to plant to attract some pollinators. We are really looking forward to our next meeting on May 27 th. Fairground Clean-Up Thanks to Brody Poole, Max Morrisey, Maddy Hawley, Grace and Lindsay Davis, Marissa and Kaitlin Kimmett, Aidan Burrows, Anthony Kerr, Kayla Cameron, Saige Traise, Kierstin Simpson, Katherine Burrows, Nan Keyes, Bridget and Chris Poole, Mrs. Morrisey, Dennis Craigen, David, Kathy and Caitie, Eric Davis, who came out to help with the Fairground Cleanup. 4-H members, volunteers, parents and grandparents did an amazing job!
School Presentations Thank you to J.J. O Neill and Newburgh Schools for welcoming David and Caitlyn to their schools to tell students and staff about 4-H.
