N S S C NORTH STATE SHOOTING CLUB For a bunch of High Power shooters running our second Pistol match, I think we did great. The weather in the mornings was a little chilly but once the sun came out it got into the 70 s both days with very little wind. We had a good turnout with around 26 competitors on Saturday and 30 competitors on Sunday and 25 competitors participated in the EIC match. William Pafford was the overall winner of the match and received the Gold medal and Top Gun hat Congratulations William. We had competitors that traveled from Virginia, South Carolina, and many parts of North Carolina. Pete Hodges furnished hot dogs on both days. Pete s hospitality cannot be beat. Most shooters commented on how well the match went. Lastly, we would like to thank the North Carolina National Guard for letting us use their fine facility. They were very supportive of this match and their generosity is always appreciated. We look forward to seeing all of you at our NC Pistol Championships and EIC match September 22-23, 2001. Turnout was a little lower that expected but I think everyone had a great time. The weather was just about perfect, Temps in the 70 s with very little wind and no rain. The Marine Scarlet team from Quantico was there to shoot and they even held a mini clinic before the leg match that was appreciated by everyone. One of the Marines, Brian Zins won the match with a Grand Agg. of 2659.132. Brian was the National Champion at Perry this year as well. Congratulations Brian.
