General Information and Hints No entry fees for any entry. 1 st & 2 nd prize cards for all sections, classes and ages. Sashes for most successful Open and Junior exhibitors in pavilion. $50 to most successful in pavilion overall. Various other special mention prizes awarded at judge s discretion. All Pavilion exhibits to be posted or delivered as early as possible to allow stewards time to display items before pavilion opens on show day. Deliveries accepted at the showground from 9.00am Friday 23 rd or by phoning Sonia Reichelt M: 0412 777 220 to arrange prior delivery. Stewards at pavilion from 7.00am show day. No entries will be accepted after 8.00am as judging will be underway. Prize cards not to be taken off exhibits before 3.00 pm. All enquiries to Sonia M: 0412 777 220. CUT FLOWERS & FLORAL ART Section CFFA CUT FLOWERS This is an Open Competition. Must be grown by exhibitor. Be sure flowers are fresh. Single bloom, one flower only on stem. Exhibit HEALTHY plants only, check for insects. We have green bottles to display all cut flowers. Class: 1. One Cut Rose 2. One Cut Dahlia 3. One Unique Flower Of Your Choice 4. JAMS and PRESERVES Section JP This is an Open Competition. All exhibits to be made by Exhibitor. Amateurs only. Jars to be minimum of 250gm capacity & easily opened. Clean with old labels removed. Home Brew. Clean bottles, no commercial labels. Class 1 One Stubbie Of Home Brewed Lager CRAFT Section Craft All work to be work of exhibitor and not having won a prize previously at this show. This section is an Open Competition. 1. Recycled or Upcycled Clothing Class Google photos of clothing from recycled materials for ideas and inspiration. No direct copies please. CHILDREN S ART Section C ART Ribbon First prize plus $4.00 Ribbon Second prize plus $2.00 PRE-SCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN ONLY. Painting of Animal(s) FINE ARTS Section Fine ART All decorative art must be delivered to the Walwa Bush Nursing Centre by Thursday 22 nd March and remain in the Pavilion until 3pm on Show day. All exhibits must be the work of the exhibitor, the onus of proof of bonafides will rest the exhibitor. All work must be mounted and framed ready for hanging. Exhibitors name, return address and title must be clearly printed on the back of any exhibit. All wrappings of exhibits must also have return address clearly printed on the back of any exhibit. The JDAPH Society Inc will exercise all reasonable care for work submitted but will not be responsible for damage or loss while exhibits are in their custody, or for insurance in transit. If art work on paper is not mounted on card with a rope hanger on the reverse side, stewards reserve the right to hang these artworks with pins. Art work to be collected at the end of the day (before 5pm). Page 9
