Important Information This shower screen/enclosure must only be installed by suitably qualified individuals. A minimum of two people will normally be required. Ensure the appropriate safety equipment, especially protective footwear and glasses is used. Prior to Installation Please check all glass and components for damage and correct sizing prior to installation as subsequent claims will not be accepted. The tray/tiled floor on which the screen/enclosure is being installed must be level on all sides. It may be necessary to use alternative fixings to those supplied, depending on the properties of the walls. Please use the protective corners at all times until the glass is moved to its final position. Please ensure that the glass is installed correctly. Take care to avoid installing glass upside down or back to front. Ensure easy clean surface is fitted to the inside. Ensure that all surfaces are 100% clean and dry prior to applying silicone sealant. Allow a minimum of 24 hours after applying silicone before using your screen/enclosure. Care and Maintenance (Please ensure these instructions are left with the installed screen/enclosure) All glass has been treated with EASY CLEAN glass finish and care must be taken to avoid any abrasive cleaning products that may damage the special surface protection. We recommend routine cleaning of your screen/enclosure with hot water and an e-cloth. Seals can be removed for thorough cleaning and replacements can be purchased from our sales office, telephone 01375 390444. PAGE 4 OF 9
1. Measure the opening for the shower enclosure. 2. Using a hacksaw, trim the length of the underframe so that it fits within the opening. The underframe will need to reach both walls. 3. Remove any burrs using a file. 4. Fix the underframe to the floor using the self adhesive strips. Be sure that the underframe is orientated correctly. Inside of shower Outside of shower PAGE 5 OF 9
5. Attach the hinges onto the glass ensuring the correct orientation. The wall bracket side of the hinge should be positioned inside the shower enclosure. The bolts should be central to the holes in the glass, this will allow maximum margin for adjustment in the future. 6. Position the door onto the door spacers as shown. 6 mm min 7. Add spacers to the door supports in order to level the door. Ensure that the gap between the bottom of the door and the top of the underframe is at least 6 mm. PAGE 6 OF 9
8. Checking that the door is completely vertical, mark the locations of the hinges for drilling. Drilling Procedure Drill Hole Insert wall plug Insert screw 9. Remove the door and use a high quality drill bit to create the holes for fixing. In order to drill to the correct depth, a piece of tape may be attached to the drill bit. 10. Attach the door to the wall remembering to use wall plugs. PAGE 7 OF 9
11. Attach the bottom seal to the underside of the door ensuring that it is correctly orientated. The seal push fits into place. 12. Attach the bubble seal to the closing side of the door ensuring that the lower end of the seal is knotched around bottom seal. 13. Attach the hinge seal to the hinge side of the door again ensuring that the lower end of the seal is knotched around bottom seal. 14. Mark the seals in line with the top of the glass. Remove the seal, trim with a hacksaw and tidy the edges with scissors. PAGE 8 OF 9
15. Attach the self adhesive facade plates to the bracket. 16. Insert the underframe insert and seal in place with silicon. 17. Apply silicon along the edge between the underframe and the floor. The enclosure is now complete, allow the silicon to cure for at least 24 hours before use. PAGE 9 OF 9
