OPCW Technical Secretariat 1 February 2019 Original: ENGLISH NOTE BY THE TECHNICAL SECRETARIAT SCALE OF ASSESSMENTS FOR 2019 1. At its Twenty-Third Session, the Conference of the States Parties (hereinafter the Conference ) approved the OPCW of Assessments for 2019 (C-23/DEC.14, dated 20 November 2018). 2. Subparagraph 1 (a) of C-23/DEC.14 states that the Conference adopts a scale of assessments for annual contributions to the OPCW Programme and Budget for 2019 that shall be adjusted to take into account differences in membership between the and the OPCW and shall be based on: (a) the scale of assessments for 2019, if the General Assembly determines the scale of assessments for 2019 by the end of 2018. 3. On 22 December 2018, the General Assembly of the adopted the resolution of assessments for the apportionment of the expenses of the (A/RES/73/271, dated 4 January 2019) for the period 2019 to 2021. 4. Based on that resolution, and in line with subparagraph 1 (a) of C-23/DEC.14, the Technical Secretariat (hereinafter the Secretariat ) has revised the indicative scale of assessments adopted by the Conference to reflect the scale of assessments for 2019. 5. The revised scale of assessments has been applied to the approved Programme and Budget of the OPCW for 2019 (C-23/DEC.10, dated 20 November 2018) which calls for assessed annual contributions by States Parties totalling EUR 67,119,590. 6.
