To make striped unit sew together (1) each CX1065 Apple, CX5514 Mango, CX5514 Kiwi, CJ4816, CX6713, DC6512, CX1492, CJ6817, CX6322, DC6866, DC6870 Orange, and DC6870 Starfruit in the order shown or as desired. Cut finished striped unit into 5 ½ segments. Sew together end to end in one continuous strip. From this strip cut: (2) 5 ½ x 20 ½ pieces, (2) 5 ½ x 30 ½ pieces, and (1) 5 ½ x 35 ½ piece. Set aside. To make the appliqued half flower block, following manufacturer s directions, trace (12) petals and one each flower centers #1, #2, #3, and #4 on the paper side of the fusible web. Rough cut out. Iron (4) petals onto the wrong side of CJ4816, CX5514 Princess, and CX6322. Iron flower center #1 onto CX1065 Apple, #2 onto CX5514 Mango, #3 onto CJ6817, and #4 onto DC6866. Cut out on pattern lines. Remove paper backing. Arrange (12) petals on one side of CX1065 Snow 10 ½ x 20 ½ as shown or as desired. Iron in place. Layer flower centers #1, #2, #3, and #4 in order as shown. Machine applique all raw edges to finish. OPTIONAL: Iron stabilizer on the back of CX1065 Snow before appliqueing in place. Stitch through all layers. Remove all stabilizer after stitching. Stabilizer improves stitch quality and eliminates fabric distortion. Set block aside. Repeat using K1145, DC6512, and CX5514 Lipstick for the petals and the same fabrics for the flower centers. Use CX5514 Mango, CX1492, and DC6861 for the yellow flower and the same fabrics for the flower center. Set blocks aside. To assemble the quilt sew one CJ3364 White 5 ½ x 20 ½ piece to the top of one 5 ½ x 20 ½ pieced strip. Add a half flower block as shown. Sew one CJ3364 Black 10 ½ x 20 ½ piece to the bottom. Set aside. Sew one CJ33664 Aqua 5 ½ x 30 ½ to the left side of one 5 ½ x 30 ½ pieced strip. Sew one half flower block to the right side of the pieced strip to within 1/4 of the bottom edge of the half flower block. Sew completed unit to the bottom of the unit from Step #3. Set aside. Sew one 5 ½ x 20 ½ pieced strip to the right side of the remaining half flower block as shown. Sew one CJ3364 Aqua 15 ½ square to the top of the flower unit. Sew one 5 ½ x 35 ½ pieced strip to the left side of the unit. Sew one CJ3364 White 15 ½ x 20 ½ piece to the bottom of the unit. Sew unit to the right side of the quilt as shown. Sew one CJ3364 Black 5 ½ x 30 ½ piece to the bottom of one 5 ½ x 30 ½ pieced strip. Sew the pieced edge to the bottom of the right side of the quilt as shown. Sew the remaining 10 ½ vertical seam to the vertical 5 ½ x 30 ½ pieced strip to complete the top. Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste. Quilt as desired. Bind quilt using CJ6821 2 ½ strips pieced as needed for length.
