A new year is upon us and with that, a fresh slate to dream, forecast, plan and envision new futures for our lives, our families, our communities and indeed our businesses. The New Year is a powerful portal of time to do this, but be sure not to miss this one critical puzzle piece of the process -- REFLECTION. Often we want to race ahead in the pursuit of our desires, but that pursuit will be all the more potent and effective if we create some space to settle into the year that was and assess it s unfolding. What flowed this year? What challenges arose that could be avoided with better planning in the future? In what instances were your leadership most effective? What skills need to be developed, honed or even mastered? Mine 2018 for the gold that it contains, and sit in deep appreciation of those blessings and experiences. Also, take out the trash, which is to say, declutter your life, mind and schedule of the thoughts, behaviours, experiences and habits that will not serve you in 2019. Combining both reflection and future dreaming in this way throughout this booklet with proved a more whole and stable foundation for your audacious goals this coming year. Enjoy this process, and together, let s have a phenomenal 2019, blessing the lives of many. 3

Live with Joy Your life can be divided up into different areas that influence each other and contribute towards your feeling of joy and wellbeing. This is a chance for you to plan to spend your time with intention. Be guided by what you are passionate about, driven by your values and sense of purpose. What are the things that you thrive on? Focus on the things that are important to you. Use the general areas we have listed, add some others to meet your needs. Think about the life you want to live, don t worry about how realistic your aspirations are, or how difficult it may be to make them happen. Think about the things you would do if you knew you could not fail. Creating your action plan Writing down your intentions is powerful. It grounds your intentions, makes them real and helps you to focus where you intend. Commit and write down the actions you are going to take. Make them meaningful for you. Think about potential blocks, how will you deal with them? What supports do you have? Who can you reach out to in order to help you succeed? When you get stuck, chunk it down, identify a small step/task you can take and do it daily. 10
Living your best life guidance Be guided by what you truly value. Identify what is important to you. Whatever you want from 2019 to ensure you are the best you that you can be, new habits are not born overnight and you have to work at them. Do what you like It is easier to implement a new action if you look forward to it (at least do not actively hate it!) If what you like doesn t come easily to mind, use our reflection to help you identify what you would like more (or less of!) in your life. Be guided by what you value What you value is a reflection of who you are as a person, so it is important to be clear about what your values are to help you make decisions that align with the life you are living. Take some time to look closely at where you spend the majority of your time, effort and money. Think about what a usual week/month looks like for you. Then articulate your values, looking at how you spend your time will help you. If there is something missing that you feel strongly about, add it in. Think about why it is important to you. Why is it important enough to be included on your list. These values need to reflect you, be authentic, be genuine, be honest. The idea is to keep you focused on the things that are important to you. 11
