INFORMATION LITERACY IN THE DOCUMENTATION AND INFORMATION CENTRE (DIC) SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES DESIGNED INTO THE DIC FOR INFO- DOCUMENTARY SKILLS TRAINING OF STUDENTS: CASE STUDY AT DIC - C.T. CIBINIUM SIBIU Inf-dcumentary skills are part f the key-skills f students and missins f the Dcumentatin and Infrmatin Center (DIC). The paper refers t the eight inf-dcumentary skills mentined in the rganizatin and functining Regulatin f schl libraries and f Dcumentatin and Infrmatin Centers and illustrates with a case study the specific activities designed int the DIC fr the infrmatin literacy training f students. The study cnclusin reveals the cmplex and the extensive character, als the results f the inf-dcumentary activities f the DIC. 1. Preliminaries As part f the key-skills training f students, particularly f that t learn hw t learn and t use the new digital technlgies as a tl fr learning and knwledge, they are pltted inf-dcumentary skills, representing the educatin fr infrmatin and s, the infrmatin literacy training, which are fund elements in the Natinal Educatin Law. [1] Als, infrmatin literacy training and develpment, respectively inf-dcumentary skills f students cnstitute the missin f the Dcumentatin and Infrmatin Center (DIC), which is a mdern structure, a multidisciplinary and multimedia resurce center, implemented in Rmanian undergraduate system since 2000 whse activity is prvided by the current rganizatin and functining Regulatin f schl libraries and f Dcumentatin and Infrmatin Centers. [2] The presentatin f inf-dcumentary skills (n dmains and subdmains in Annex 2 f the Regulatin) which pupils shuld develp by the end f cmpulsry educatin, states that the wrk was perfrmed in rder t rientate the activities frm DIC fr the students training in the educatin and infrmatin dmain.
