Subject / Cncept: Think abut clr as a creative tl that can add significance t a scene r stry. Als use clr t create visual emphasis in the image thrugh varius clr schemes and clr cntrast. Light: Yu can usually any lighting that yu wish. Hints: 1. Pick subjects and scenes that utilize clr schemes presented in class. 2. Yu can stage scenes and enhance clr relatinships that way. 3. These must shw 2 different Clr Schemes. At least ne f these images needs t have had clr enhanced thrugh Camera RAW / LR Develp Menu by using any f the fllwing: HSL Menu Split Tne Menu Lcal Clr Adjustment with Adjustment Brush r Graduated Filter Apply Lcal Adjustments t bth images in Phtshp n individual layers. Part 1: Clr Harmny: 1. Sht at least 1 scene that uses a clr scheme that emphasizes harmny. These include analgus clr schemes. The majrity f the clrs in the scene shuld fllw this clr scheme. Example Clr Schemes include: Blue, Blue-Green, Green Yellw, Yellw-Green, Green Yellw, Orange, Red Part 2: Clr Cntrast: 1. Sht at least 1 scene that uses either cmplimentary clr schemes r warm vs. cl clr schemes. The majrity f the clrs in the scene shuld fllw this clr scheme. 2. Use clr cntrast t create visual emphasis n a specific subject r part f the scene. 3. There are a variety f ways t create clr cntrast as shwn in the PwerPint Presentatin. Yu can utilize and f the fllwing: Cntrast f Hue Needs at least 3 strng hues Light Dark Cntrast with Hue Mnchrmatic, r almst mnchrmatic images wrk well fr this. Images sht at night r in shadws can lk mainly blue. Images sht in bright midday can lk mainly yellw. Images sht at sunrise r sunset can lk mainly range, vilet, red-vilet Remember that yu need tnal cntrast t make this wrk.

Cl Clrs Vs. Warm Clrs This wrks best if the majrity f the image has ne side f the clr wheel, and the minrity f the image has the ther side f the clr wheel. Cmplementary Clrs (Cmmn Examples) Orange / Blue Red / Green Yellw / Vilet Saturatin Cntrast Think abut having ne saturated r vibrant hue next t a scene that has mainly muted clrs. Extensin Cntrast A minrity f the image shuld be f ne clr, while the majrity is f anther clr. This technique wrks well with ther clr schemes such as the first three listed abve.

Yu can cmbine clr symblism with actual bject symblism r metaphr if yu wish.
