Expressions Art Sale and Reception Catalogue of art Expressions Art Sale Friday, April 25, 2008 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Next Picture Show 113 West First Street, Dixon One for another by Salem Barker
Expressions Art Sale One for Another In planning this year s Expressions Art Sale and Reception, the theme of one helping, assisting another, emerged as a focal theme. While inspired by Salem Barker s wooden sculpture ( One for Another ), this year s group of donated artwork - the largest in the short history of this event - is a testimony to the generosity of artists here in northern Illinois in donating their work so that others might be helped. The Sinnissippi Foundation is proud to sponsor the 4th Annual Expressions Art Sale and Reception, which will be held Friday, April 25, 2008 at The Next Picture Show Gallery (113 West First Street, Dixon) from 6:00-8:00 p.m. 36 local and regional artists have donated 40 pieces of their art to this event, which also features a wide array of silent auction items. This art is currently featured on the web site of Sinnissippi Centers (www.sinnissippi.com) and in the future will also appear on The Next Picture Show web site (www.tnps.com). You can also stop by The Next Picture Show gallery to see first hand these original pieces of art, as well as all items in the silent auction. All of these will be on display starting April 21st and continuing through the Expressions reception on Friday, April 25th. Proceeds raised will support the Foundation and its work with improving the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, adults and families in Carroll, Lee, Ogle and Whiteside Counties. If you have additional questions contact Greg Gates of The Sinnissippi Foundation at 815-284-9380. 1
