In the underwater world of Neptunopolis everybody was at Neptune s Palace. Music was playing and people were happy eating fl a n and drinking pop. In the middle was King Neptune on a big golden throne and he was enjoying his birthday party. Map This is my favourite birthday party since yesterday! said King Neptune. He d had a birthday party yesterday, and every day before that too and one was also being planned for tomorrow because when he became King he decided he d have a birthday party every day. Princess Pepper was King Neptune s daughter and she planned the parties. The Royal Tram had to collect King Neptune for his party and he would eat his Royal Flan on the Royal Tram and drink hot chocolate with marshmallows. On Wednesdays he liked chocolate sprinkles on top and on Fridays he liked hundreds and thousands. Princess Pepper learnt all of this so that one day she could become Queen of Neptunopolis, but today she learned that there was a much bigger thing that she had to do as well.

To become Queen you have to do something no one else in Neptunopolis has ever done before, said King Neptune to Princess Pepper. I want you to travel very far from here under the sea to above the water! I want you to travel to the land of Jamaica. Princess Pepper was scared because she didn t know what life was like above the sea. But King Neptune gently said As future Queen, and as my daughter, it s important to find bravery in your heart. Then he made Princess Pepper a hot chocolate, and Princess Pepper decided she would go to Jamaica. How does the sea say goodbye? It doesn t, it just waves

Colour in King Neptune s Palace In Jamaica, Captain Terrible was standing on a beach. This beach is all mine! he yelled. The only person who could hear him was his servant, Trevor, who was looking at his hair. The coconuts on the trees are all mine! The fish in the sea are all mine! The sand on the beach That s all yours, boss, said Trevor helpfully. Boss, you know how you dream of taking over the city of Neptunopolis? said Trevor while trying not to be hit. I ve found it! Captain Terrible stopped trying to hit Trevor and Trevor smiled at Captain Terrible. They both knew that if they found Neptunopolis, then they would also find the beautiful Princess Pepper. Shut up Trevor! yelled Captain Terrible.

Trevor had a Princess Pepper poster on his bedroom wall. Captain Terrible had a nightlamp with a sticker of Princess Pepper. Trevor had a really old Easter Egg with her face on that he hadn t eaten. Captain Terrible had a copy of Mizz magazine with photos of Princess Pepper. Trevor had the Official Princess Pepper calendar. And Captain Terrible had Trevor s hair! Whenever someone upset Captain Terrible he stole their hair and added it to the wig on his own head. Princess Pepper shall be all mine! shouted Captain Terrible and then he went to start an evil plan. Billy and Bobby were on another beach in Jamaica, but there was something strange about it. As they kicked at the dusty sand and were thirsty in the hot sun, they realised what was missing. There s no water in the sea! said Bobby. In front of them was sand, sand and more sand as far as they could see, but no water. So they got out their telescopes to look for it. Why are pirates so evil? They just aaaarrrggh! They looked to the right and Bobby said that looks like a storm. They looked to the left and Billy said that looks like a big storm. They looked up at the sky and rain poured down their telescopes, then they looked down at the ground and their feet were getting wet. All the seawater had turned into an enormous storm! There was thunder and lightning, and Billy and Bobby ran away from the beach to find somewhere indoors to shelter.

Under the sea Princess Pepper was on the Royal Tram. I ve never even been on the tram before, she said to the Tram Driver, and now I m going all the way to Jamaica. Oh dear, said the Tram Driver as the tram bumped along through the stormy sea. Jamaica is ruled by the evil Captain Terrible. He looks friendly because he s got long shiny hair, but he stole everybody else s hair to wear as his own. And he s upset the sea by taking the beach as his own too. Princess Pepper decided that she would stop Captain Terrible and make the sea happy again. The tram docked into a submarine, and they travelled off to Jamaica past fish, crabs, and catfish with the head of a fish and the body of a cat. What did the pirate say when his wooden leg got stuck in a freezer? Shiver me timbers!

After the submarine landed Princess Pepper got onto the beach and walked straight up to Captain Terrible. You ve upset the sea and I m here to save the beach! she said. But look at how golden the sand is, smiled Captain Terrible. And look at all my trees. All this could be yours if you stay with me on Jamaica. Princess Pepper had never seen sand before, or trees, or the pink sports car that Captain Terrible was standing next to. Pink is my favourite colour! said Princess Pepper. It s my favourite colour too! said Captain Terrible. But boss, you had everything pink painted red because you hate pink! whispered Trevor. Shut up Trevor! yelled Captain Terrible. Princess Pepper liked being on land. Will I still get to be Queen of Neptunopolis if I stay? Captain Terrible smiled and said oh yes, then he looked at her hair, and then he led her away

And Captain Terrible locked Princess Pepper in an enormous tower! She had nothing but a tiny window and a picture of a pink sports car. She cried, and as she did the sea got even more upset. The storm grew worse and back in Neptunopolis the city walls were starting to crumble. There was no party because everyone in Neptunopolis was very scared. Why do pirates take so long to learn the alphabet? They get stuck at C?

Billy and Bobby were still trying to shelter from the storm and the only building they could find was an enormous tower. In the top window they could see Princess Pepper crying! If we rescue her then the sea will be happy again! said Bobby, and so they sneaked towards the tower. While they sneaked along they sang the Pink Panther sneaking music de dum, de dum, de-dum de-dum de-dum, de dum de-dummmm What are you doing here at Captain Terrible s Tower? asked the policeman standing outside who had been alerted by Billy and Bobby s singing. We wanted to get inside to see er the pictures? said Billy, hoping that there were pictures inside. Come on in! replied the policeman who was also the Captain Terrible s Tower Picture Tour Guide and he let them in. Billy ran up all 200 steps on the tower and when he got to the very top he found Bobby who had used the lift, and Bobby had found Princess Pepper. I ve made a terrible mistake! sobbed Princess Pepper. You all have! yelled Captain Terrible who was hiding outside and he suddenly locked them all in! Billy and Bobby tried to argue with Captain Terrible but he wouldn t listen to them. Then Princess Pepper remembered that Captain Terrible loved his long hair more than anything else, so they came up with another plan which needed one of their hats.

We know how much you love your hair, said Billy, so we ve cut off all Princess Pepper s hair and put it downstairs for you. Yes, my head is as smooth as a baby s bottom! said Princess Pepper, who was actually hiding all her hair inside the hat that Billy had given her. Captain Terrible was so excited he went to the window to look downstairs and as he leaned out Billy, Bobby and Princess Pepper grabbed the wig from his head and threw it into the storm! As Captain Terrible saw his wig fly away he felt very upset at all he had done. I m sorry, said Captain Terrible and the storm got a little quieter. I m really sorry, said Captain Terrible and the storm died down a bit more. I m super sorry and I ll make everything better, I ll even look after the beaches! said Captain Terrible. At that the storm went away completely and all the water went back into the sea. The waves happily lapped up against the beaches again and the sun came out in the sky! What do you call a shaking ship at the bottom of the ocean? A nervous wreck?

When Princess Pepper got back to Neptunopolis, King Neptune had organised another party by himself but this time it wasn t for his birthday. Princess Pepper, you have made everyone who lives in Jamaica very happy and you have saved Neptunopolis from the storm, said King Neptune. You have proved beyond any doubt that you are brave so now I give you my crown and make you Queen of Neptunopolis! And now in Neptunopolis they still have a party everyday, only Queen Pepper decided everyone should eat fish fingers instead of flan. She also decided to let everyone use the Royal Tram whenever they wished to visit Jamaica, where Captain Terrible was now called Captain Quite Nice On A Good Day. And he did look after the beaches, and the sea was happy splashing against the shore for ever more.
