I M THE FREELANCE WRITER WHO GETS TECH. I work as a specialist science and technology journalist, blogger and copywriter. With two Masters in Physics, I then worked as a science journalist and software developer. BUT I had no idea what career I wanted.
DO YOU LOVE TECH? No? It doesn t matter. Just find a specialism. My USP? That I ve worked in the science and technology sectors I write about. More work and more pay will come your way. Open to different ways of working.
HOW TO PROMOTE YOUR WORK Practice. Be original, work for you and find your voice. Work experience. Across different industries. Build a portfolio. Networking. Go to events and talks. Get involved. Go online. Get a website. Pitch to publications, guest blog, use LinkedIn and freelance websites. Don t give up!
