Timbergate Construction Wyndham Construction Bertch uses only the finest materials and building techniques to create Timbergate doors. Each door is made to order, for you, by us. Every single wood component we use is produced on site. That s 100% MADE IN THE USA. Wyndham utilizes many of the same high-quality materials, methods and finishes for its construction. However, much of the core stock used in Wyndham construction is particle board, rather than solid wood, so you still get a solid door, for a lower price. And, of course, they are 100% MADE IN THE USA. Solid Wood Panels Air Door System Timbergate uses solid wood panels on all Traditional raised door panels. The door panels are hand-selected for consistency of grain, color and appearance. Available in 7/8, 1-1/8, 1-3/8 and 1-3/4 thicknesses. Wood cells change in size due to changes in the natural environment, based on moisture and humidity levels. Like Timbergate, Wyndham uses an Air Door suspension system to allow for the door panel s natural shrinking and swelling. HARDWARE BALL BEARING HINGES: Timbergate uses Commercial Grade Ball Bearing Hinges as standard on all doors. Commercial Grade Ball Bearing hinges provide the benefit of smooth operation and eliminates the steel on steel operation of a normal hinge. WOODS ALDER Fine-grained hardwood, pale yellow to reddish brown in color. Evenly textured and straight grained, this specie accepts stain well. MAHOGANY Premier furniture wood, color varies from pale salmon to deep reddish brown. Medium density and texture, with generally straight figure and interlocking grain. FINISHES BIRCH Medium hardwood, offwhite color. Good base for solid color finishes. Accepts stains unevenly, particularly darker stains. MAPLE Tight-grained and dense hardwood with a cream color. Looks best with light, natural or solid color finishes. CHERRY Fine-grained medium density hardwood, may range from white to pink to dark brown in its natural state. Darkens over time with exposure to light. Pitch marks and mineral streaks add character to this specie. OAK Hardwood with open grain. Accepts stain well and may darken slightly with age. May vary in color from light to dark with possible shades of green. Known for its light to dark contrast. The contrasting mix is what makes hickory sought after. Darker stains will mildly tone the color variations. PINE Very soft, sappy wood that yellows with age. Looks best with light or natural finishes. Features knots, knot holes and open grain. The POPLAR A straight-grained, soft, moderately lightweight wood ranging in color from white, yellow, tan, green and brown to shades of purple and blue. Accepts dark stains and solid colors well. 18 QUARTERSAWN OAK Verstable and has a flake figure running across the grain (ray fleck) which exhibits a beautiful grain pattern. RUSTIC Has characteristic marks such as large knots and wane.
