Dear Colleague, In the last few years Norwegian oil production rates fell more than any other country globally. Production from Norway s giant mature fields is declining and there is a window of opportunity to extract these resources effectively. It is now a matter of urgency for the industry to innovate and collaborate so it is not missed. Some of the best tools we have at our disposal to increase recovery from mature fields are from further field development, and applying technology such as Enhanced Recovery Techniques. At the same time, the integrity and safety of the assets must be maintained or upgraded. With this in mind, this year s programme has been specifically designed to address these challenges through case studies, discussion sessions and interactive panel debates. Join us at Mature Fields 2012 to learn from the experiences of others and apply the lessons learned to your own projects. I look forward to welcoming you in Stavanger. Best regards, Mark Oster Conference Producer Mature Fields 2012 Testimonials Good Networking Opportunity Matt Wood, Asset Integrity Global Portfolio Lead, Shell Excellent networking and education about extracting last oil Don Clark, VP Industry Solutions, Invensys Operations Management

CONFERENCE AGENDA Pre Conference Focus Day, 21 st May 2012 There are many technologies available for operators of mature fields, and these technologies are often not new it is more a case of selecting and applying the most economical solution. 09.00 Registration & Refreshments 10.00 12.00 Examining the Business Case for Enhanced Oil Recovery: What are the options? There are different kinds of enhanced oil recovery: Thermal EOR, Miscible EOR, and Chemical EOR each with their own unique characteristics Selecting and applying the most appropriate type is critical in making the EOR application cost effective for the particular field you operate on Thermal EOR is often applicable to heavier crudes reducing the viscosity through the injection of steam Chemical EOR Injection of a dilute solution of a water soluble polymer to increase the viscosity of the injected water can increase the amount of oil recovered in some fields In addition, a range of different applications will also be presented in alignment to particular field characteristics demonstrating the potential gains in production achievable We will be examining the business case and examining all the options involved 12.15 Networking Lunch 13.00 16.00 Technical Insight Session: Boosting recovery from low or reduced pressure wells using Jet pumps Jet pumps can be used with compressors to boost production from low pressure wells This can be used to increase recovery by up to 30% Examine some of the case studies and particular hub developments which this has been applied on using the excess pressure of nearby satellites to boost the pressure of reduced or depleted fields Restoring pressure to the main field can significantly increase the life cycle of the asset, and maintain commercial levels of production for many more years. 16.15 End of the Pre Conference Focus Day

CONFERENCE AGENDA Day One, 22 nd May 2012 08.30 Registration & Refreshments 09.00 Chairman s Opening Remarks Erik Steenken, CEO, Tulip Oil Late Life Projects 09.15 Mature Fields: A vital resource Addressing the need to maintain and upgrade existing infrastructure Lower recovery rates are often a result of operational inefficiencies from old technology and aging infrastructure- What options and tools are available for operators of mature fields? Given the vast reserves remaining in mature fields, every percentage point counts Taking on the challenges of enhancing production, ensuring that resources are utilised Roelof Platenkamp, Executive Chairman, Tulip Oil 10.00 Case Study: the Statfjord late life programme Formulating an effective plan for the field development What are the key considerations? Extensive programme of drilling wells to tap remaining oil pockets, combined with injection has pushed recovery to much higher levels - in the coming years oil recovery is expected to reach 66% Gas recovery is expected to rise to almost 71% How the produced water is managed and kept at a steady rate Thor Viggo Aarrestad, Vice President Project Management & Control Field Development, Statoil 10.30 Coffee and Networking Break 11.00 Speed Networking Speed networking will enable you to meet a selection of conference attendees within a short time and ensure an open discussion throughout the conference. Take advantage of this informal networking session to meet with operations professionals. Don t forget to bring your business card! 11.45 Case Study: Redevelopment of the Gannett Field The re-development project: What were the challenges? Understanding the scope of investment, technologies; analysing costs versus return Hub development: tying in the oil and gas satellites into a central system Application of EOR and the recorded gains Eelco Von Meyenfeldt, Development Manager for Europe, Shell

CONFERENCE AGENDA 12.30 Mature Field Life Assessment and Extension Planning Creating structured plans to extend the life cycle of your asset Decisions on mature field management: tertiary recovery, infill drilling, horizontals, optimal waterflooding design for mature fields Field example applications comparing the larger and smaller fields Steven Shrive, VP Operations, Aker Solutions 13.15 Networking Lunch 14.15 Case Study: Scott - to 2025 and beyond? A case study of the Scott Field and tie backs Maintaining the base: major challenges and strategy to tackle production efficiency and extend field life Increasing the base: water injection, development drilling, interventions and workover Future hub: the possibilities Craig Paveley, Scott Area Development Manager, Nexen 15.00 Sustainable Growth for a Mature Oil Company Deployment of EOR technologies: creating the best formula for your particular field application Developing competence among staff: technologies are of little use if they are not applied correctly WRM and Data Management Developing organisational efficiency Joop Castelijns, Formerly Petroleum Engineering Director, Petroleum Development Oman 15.45 Coffee and Networking Break 16.15 Panel Discussion: Field Development Discussing different examples of field development Developing fields with a view to efficient, longer-term production management Subsea tie backs or infill drilling? The decision making process Thor Viggo Aarrestad, Vice President Project Management & Control Field Development, Statoil Craig Paveley, Scott Area Development Manager, Nexen Roelof Platenkamp, Executive Chairman, Tulip Oil 17.00 Chairman s Summary and Drinks Reception
