Background Transport 2030 was a 2 year foresight project led by IVA focusing on the transport system for goods and people and its infrastructure It was established in collaboration between industrial actors, vehicle manufacturers and transport-service providers, authorities and academia The aim of the project was to establish a platform for cross-sector cooperation, and from this to develop a vision for the future development of the transport system in a 20-year perspective 11/30/2011 KTH Royal Institute of Technology KTH Transport Day 3

Recommendations TRANSPORT 2030 There is a need for highly visible and forceful political leadership in the transport area, with a particular focus on innovation and a strengthening of the Swedish position in relation to European collaboration. Holistic view on transport This includes systems, infrastructure, vehicles on land, sea and air, and components that transport or help transport goods or individuals as well as: related aspects such as planning, organization, accessibility, use, procurement, investment, deployment, management and Safety, security Vehicleson land, sea and air Productivity, efficiency its consequences, such as environmental impact, customer benefits, security, integration and interaction with society and industry in a broad sense.
