Page 2 Thank you for purchasing this Trinity shower screen. Please study these instructions carefully before assembly and installation and check all supplied parts immediately upon receipt. These instructions show the door hinged on the left. However, Trinity may alternatively be specified with the door hinged on the right. Installation Tips The general principle of installation is to assemble parts in the steps shown - first a dry assembly to check fits or mark cutting or drilling positions and then a final assembly with silicone. Whether fitting to a tiled floor or tray, ensure that the area is grease and dust free and level in all directions before installation. Use a good quality, full length spirit level to ensure that the wall channels are perfectly upright. When handling glass, use glass lifters and take care to ensure that corners or edges are not knocked. If anti-calcium glass has been purchased, the treated side of the glass will be indicated and should always face inwards to the wet side of the shower enclosure. When cutting aluminium extrusion, wrap the profile with masking tape first and cut through the taped area - this will help protect the surrounding surface. Use a fine file to smooth cut edges. Page 5 ~10 mm Wall Wall Profile Underframe Glass Panel Adjustment of panel in wall profile (+/- 9 mm for 24 mm profile) 1 Assemble the underframe and gently tighten the grub screws at the joints. Underframes are supplied at maximum length and it is likely that you will need to shorten the two end pieces (see steps 2 and 3). 2 If you cut 9 mm off then the glass return panels will sit in the centre of their vertical wall profile adjustment where the wall profile meets the underframe. If the underframe is being installed on a tray, it should ideally sit about 10mm back from the front edge of the tray. A 3 A maximum of 18 mm can be cut from each of the return panel underframe sections. B Check the verticality of the walls at each end of the underframe. 4 After you have cut the underframe to length, mark its position on the tray or floor and then remove and dismantle the underframe If a wall leans in at the top, as in A above, leave extra length on the underframe - cut off less than 9 mm. If a wall leans out at the top, as in B above, the underframe needs to be shorter - cut off more than 9 mm.

Page 6 O 5 mm 34 mm 5 Apply silicone to the end profiles of the underframe where they join, re-assemble and fully tighten the grub screws at the joints. 6 Run a substantial bead of silicone along the full length of the underside of the underframe and apply a small amount to the corners where the underframe will sit against the wall. Reposition the underframe where marked and tape into place. 7 Replace the two wall profiles, using the 10 mm spacer again to ensure alignment and insert the top and bottom screws to hold them in place. Insert a rubber strip into the two return panel underframe channels. Insert the 10mm spacer into the underframe to align one of the vertical wall profiles. Use a spirit level to ensure that the wall profile is plumb vertical and mark the positions of the screw holes. Repeat with the other wall profile against the other wall. Remove the channels, drill 4.5mm holes and insert wall plugs. 8 Using suction glass lifters, place the glass return panels in position. Ensure that the glass panels are pulled forward in the underframe up to the mitred joints as shown. Check the front edges for verticality and if necessary, insert additional rubber strip underneath the glass. (maximum of 3 layers). Check that top edges of the two glass panels are level with each other.

Page 7 O 7 mm 40 mm 9 Disassemble the glass to wall brackets. With clear gaskets inserted between the brackets and the glass, align the brackets centrally to the slots in the glass panels and mark the screw hole positions on the wall. 10 Drill 7 mm holes for the brackets in the positions marked and insert wall plugs. Mark the vertical wall profiles at the height of the glass. 11 Cut the wall profiles to length and file the cut ends smooth. Run a bead of silicone along the wall side of the wall profiles and screw them securely in place. Put the brackets to one side and use the glass lifters to remove the glass panels, taking note of where and how many rubber strips have been used under the glass. Remove the vertical wall profiles. 12 Loosely screw the glass to wall brackets to the wall. Run beads of silicone along the inside of the wall profiles and the return sections of the underframe as shown. Also apply some silicone into the internal corner so that the glass panel pushes into it when inserted.

13 Replace the glass return panels and loosely fix the faceplates of the glass to wall brackets through the slots in the glass. Fully tighten the wall screws. Page 8 14 Ensure that the hinges are centrally aligned to the holes in the glass and use a set square to ensure that they are perfectly horizontal. Fully tighten. To prevent leakage around the wall brackets, fill the glass slots at the lower brackets with silicone before fitting faceplates. Ensure that the glass panels are plumb vertical and pulled forward as in step 8. Fully tighten the glass to wall bracket faceplates using the clear gaskets on both sides of the glass. 15 Steps 15-16 require one person to support the glass door whilst the other person is inside the enclosure with hinge faceplates gaskets and screws. Place the door mounting blocks in the underframe. Lift the door into position on the mounting blocks Disassemble the hinges and fit them to the return panel using gaskets on both sides of the glass. 16 With gaskets inserted both sides of the glass, loosely screw the hinges and faceplates together through the door. Adjust the door so that it is central between the two return panels. There should be a clearance gap of 5mm between the edge of the door and the return panel on both sides of the glass. When correctly adjusted, fully tighten the hinge and remove the mounting blocks.

Page 9 OUTSIDE OF SHOWER INSIDE OF SHOWER 5mm Grub screw Plastic washers 17 Insert the rubber gaskets into the over-door support bar and place the bar on the return panels so that it spans the door opening and is approximately central. 18 Tighten the grub screw on the clamp which holds the hinged glass return panel. Adjust the gap between the two return panels to maintain a 5mm gap from bottom to top on the handle side of the door and fully tighten the bar. Fit the handle to the door as shown, ensuring the black plastic washers are located in the holes on both sides of the glass. Tighten the grub screws on the inside handle to secure. Hinge side fixed glass panel Handle side fixed glass panel INSIDE OF SHOWER INSIDE OF SHOWER Door Hinge side edge seal Door OUTSIDE OF SHOWER 19 Prepare the hinge side edge of the door for fitting the Adhesive Seal. Use the aqueous/alcohol based cleaner supplied to ensure that the glass surface is clean and dry. OUTSIDE OF SHOWER 20 Fit the seal to the fixed glass panel on the handle side of the door as shown, simply by pushing it on to the glass. Trim excess at top of panel. Remove the paper backing from the adhesive strip on the back of the seal and fit the seal with even pressure over its full height. Trim excess from ends. Maximum adhesion will be achieved in approximately 72 hours.

Page 10 Under Door seal Notched end Underframe insert/seal Fixed glass panel not shown for clarity. 21 23 Push fit the insert strip in to the underframe between the two return panels. To prevent any water being trapped on the underframe on the outside of the door, notch each end of the vertical blade on the insert as shown. 22 Cut the Under Door seal to the width of the door and slide it on to the bottom of the door with the 45 degree deflector blade on the inside. Trim the corner of the blade to clear the vertical seal on the handle side of the door. When you are satisfied that no further adjustments need to be made, use a smear of silicone to fit the chromium screw covers provided to the wall bracket screws and the cover plates to the wall screw sections.
