Parameters 5 to 7 Wndow functon In order to save energy, the radator controller closes the radator valve when you open a wndow resultng n a large drop of the temperature. When you close the wndow so that the temperature rses the radator controller opens the radator valve agan. If you should ever forget to close the wndow, the radator controller opens automatcally after the set tme n order to ensure frost protecton. Parameter 8 Valve stroke The radator controller operates wth the optmum valve stroke set n the factory. If the entre valve stroke s to be used or f the valve does not open completely, actvate the full-stroke mode. Parameter 9 Temperature representaton n the dsplay In the factory settng the set or programmed temperature (Comfort temperature, or the Setback temperature) s dsplayed. Wth the settng "measured temperature" the measured room temperature s dsplayed. A changeover to the set temperature s carred out by turnng the adjustment dal or pressng a button. If requred, the temperature can now be reset. The dsplay returns to the measured temperature after approx. seconds. Due to the heat nfluence of the radator the "measured temperature" dsplayed at the radator controller can dffer from the temperature measured at another pont n the room. Parameter Optmzaton functon Wthout optmzaton (factory settng) the radator controller begns to heat up the room or lower the temperature at the programmed tme. For example, n order to have a warm bathroom at 7:, the setpont has to be brought forward. Otherwse the room only starts heatng at 7:. However, the advanced setpont may le too early so that heatng s started far earler than necessary. Wth optmzaton the radator controller calculates when to open the valve n order to acheve the desred temperature at the set tme. Optmum start The room s heated up at the optmum moment n order to reach the programmed temperature. Optmum start/stop: The room s heated up at the optmum moment and cooled down at an earler moment. C Optmum Start Wthout Optmzaton Setpont Optmum Stop Setpont Wthout Optmzaton Parameter Temperature offset Snce the radator controller measures the room temperature n the area of the radator, t s possble that ths temperature devates from the temperature measured at a dfferent pont n the room. If, for example, C s measured n the room and. C at the radator, ths effect can be compensated by an offset of. C. Parameter 5 Dsplay of the valve poston When ths parameter s actvated (settng ""), the calculated valve poston ( to % opened) s dsplayed momentarly. The man dsplay s shown agan after approx. mnutes or when the AUTO button s pressed. Parameter 6 Valve exercse day If the radator valve has not been opened once completely wthn the perod of weeks, a self-test (forced operaton) s carred out. The radator controller opens the radator valve brefly on the subsequent Monday (factory settng) n order to prevent sezng. The weekday for valve protecton can be selected freely Parameter 7 Wndow open functon If a wndow contact s connected, the parameter s set automatcally to "" (cabled). The wndow functon s controlled by the wndow contact. If no wndow contact st present, the parameter must be set to or.

. Further functons Montorng functons Wndow functon If you open a wndow causng the temperature to drop, the radator controller closes the radator valve n order to save energy. wndow s dsplayed. When the temperature rses agan, but at the latest after the set perod (factory settng: mnutes), the radator controller opens the radator valve agan. You can also open the radator valve beforehand by pressng the AUTO button or turnng the adjustment dal. The senstvty of the radator controller to a temperature drop or temperature rse can be set, see Secton 9, Parameters 5 to 7. If a wndow contact s connected, the wndow functon reacts drectly to the openng and closng of the wndow, see Parameter 7. Valve protecton If the radator valve has not been opened once completely wthn a perod of weeks, a self-test (forced operaton) s carred out. The radator controller opens the radator valve brefly on the subsequent Monday (factory settng) n order to prevent sezng. cycl s dsplayed. The day for the valve protecton can be set n Parameter 6. Frost protecton If the temperature drops below 5 C, the radator controller opens the radator valve untl the temperature rses above 6 C agan. Ths prevents the heatng system from freezng up. frost s dsplayed. The heatng must be swtched on to ensure the frost protecton functon. Manual overrde If you have swtched off the central heatng system n summer and do not want to waste the batteres of the radator controller, you can close the radator valve contnuously. Closng the valve. Press the button AUTO/ECO/MANU untl manual s dsplayed.. Turn the adjustment dal counter-clockwse untl off s dsplayed. The radator valve now remans closed. The valve and frost protecton functons contnue to be actve. Openng the valve fuse f the AUTO/ECO/MANU button to change to automatc mode. or fset f the desred temperature n manual operaton. Chld-proofng / Operaton lock You can block the radator controller to protect t aganst unauthorzed operaton: fkeep f the AUTO/ECO/MANU and PROG buttons pressed smultaneously for at least seconds. The symbol s dsplayed. The same key combnaton s used to release the radator controller agan for operaton. 4
