We will discuss techniques for composition, exposure and focusing tips. After we tour and take photos in the zoo, students will have an image review session and learn how to use photo editing apps and software to enhance their photos. A variety of different workshops are offered each month, as well as open studio times for current Art Center students. Seascape Watercolor Workshop with Juan Pena Juan will explain the benefits of his color triangle and share his secret formula for successful seascape paintings. You will have the opportunity to experiment with watercolor brush strokes to indicate water, splashing waves and the tide coming in. We will conclude the workshop with a paint-along seascape watercolor with Juan. Materials list provided on receipt. A variety of different workshops are offered each month, as well as open studio times for current Art Center students. Palette Knife Painting with Rhonda Egan Learn how to paint using a palette knife with an expert in a relaxed atmosphere. Painting with a palette knife can be awkward at first, but once mastered can enhance and add to any artist s skill level. Students will learn to mix color on the canvas using the palette knife. Students new to palette knife painting can follow along with Rhonda, painting a simple landscape. More experienced artists are welcome to work independently with Rhonda offering suggestions and guidance.
