Ensuring Cyber Security Compliance & Protecting Sensitive Information Scott Bailey, CISM, EVCA, CISM, QAR Scott has over 28 years of experience in digital forensics, cyber security, ediscovery, risk management and incident response. He is nationally recognized, specializing in sophisticated and complex technology investigations. He currently serves as a Partner with N1 Discovery, and is also the Managing Director of Digital Forensics and Cyber Security for Mackinac Partners, LLC, a leading financial turnaround company with an investigation and intelligence division led by former Secret Service and FBI Special Agents. Scott has consulted for Fortune 500 companies and major financial institutions on data breaches, incident response, cyber security controls, data encryption, IT strategic planning and policy development. He has also assisted firms with compliance efforts, data security standards and security testing to meet legal and regulatory requirements including Sarbanes-Oxley, Gramm-Leach Bliley Act and PCI. Scott is a subject matter expert in digital forensics and ediscovery, and has worked with corporations, law firms and law enforcement agencies on a variety of civil and criminal cases. He has provided expert witness testimony in several legal cases in both Federal and State courts. Scott has led digital forensics, ediscovery and IT security and risk management for leading service providers including Veritas Global, Rehmann and N1Discovery. He has conducted detailed security threat and vulnerability assessments for clients, as well as IT security architecture, analytics and remediation methods to secure the enterprise. Scott s prior work experience includes Director of Technology Risk Management for a global firm, Data Processing Manager for a large financial institution and Designing Software Architect for one of the Big Three automakers where he developed their enterprise software. Scott has also served as President of a private technology and software company where he provided expertise to Visa USA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the U.S. Secret Service. Scott has been featured as an IT Security Expert for several Michigan TV media outlets. He has also published several articles and white papers on Data Security, Cyber Threats and Digital Forensics. Scott has a CIS degree from Oakland University. He is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), a Concordance Evolution Certified Administrator (EVCA), a Certified Internal Quality Assessment & Validation (QAR) and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Successful Investigations of Insurance Claims Margaret Scott, Esq. Ms. Scott served as an Oakland County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney from 1988 to 2008. The majority of her career was spent as a Special Prosecutor for the Oakland County Prosecutor s Office where she was elevated to the office of Chief of the Auto Theft Unit in 1996. As a felony trial prosecutor, Ms. Scott prosecuted crimes involving insurance fraud, identity theft, embezzlement, and arson of insured property. During her time with the Oakland County Prosecutor s Office, she successfully prosecuted nearly 100% of the cases assigned to the Auto Theft Unit. For her dedication to the fight against auto theft and insurance fraud, Ms. Scott received the Bob Sattler Award by the North Central Regional Chapter-International Association of Auto Theft Investigators in 2007. She also received an Award for Professional Excellence for services provided to the Michigan State Police characterized by outstanding performance of duty and a personal commitment to the excellence associated with the prosecution of a 1998 Western Wayne Auto Theft Unit investigation. Ms. Scott has been awarded the William V. Liddane Award by the Help Eliminate Auto Theft (H.E.A.T.) Organization in recognition of her advocacy in reducing auto-theft related crimes in Michigan. Margaret Scott is a member of the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Class of 2015 Women in the Law. Honorees are recognized for the meaningful and inspiring contributions they have made to the legal community. An article, A sidebar with Margaret A. Scott, appeared in the July 20, 2015, issue of Michigan Lawyers Weekly, in which she was interviewed about her practice in the areas of arson insurance defense and auto theft prevention. Ms. Scott has also been awarded a Challenge Coin by the North Oakland County Veteran s Treatment Court for her involvement in the program in her role as a district court prosecutor. Ms. Scott is presently an instructor and presenter for various programs for the Michigan State Police, the Michigan Chapter-International Association of Arson Investigators, International Association of Special Investigative Units, the North Central Regional Chapter-International Association of Auto Theft Investigators, and the Michigan Association of Vehicle Theft Investigators. She has also instructed for the National College of District Attorneys, Prosecutor s Association of Michigan, the International Association of Arson Investigators, Oakland County Community College Police Academy, and numerous police departments in Southeastern Michigan as well as a number of area high schools. She completed the National District Attorney s Association s Career Prosecutor Course in 1990 and the Experienced Prosecutor Course in 1996. She is past Chair of the Michigan Anti-Car Theft Campaign Committee. Currently, Ms. Scott serves as Chair of the Michigan Arson Prevention Committee's Governmental Resource Committee. During her years of service to the

People of the State of Michigan, Ms. Scott testified before the Michigan State Senate and House on various proposed legislation involving auto theft and insurance fraud. Ms. Scott has practiced insurance defense litigation since 2009 as private counsel for various companies. During this time, she defended claims involving automobile and structure arson fires, No-Fault PIP, third party, and uninsured motorists. After obtaining her B.A. from Michigan State University in Criminal Justice and Psychology, Ms. Scott attended Wayne State University Law School where she was the Director of the Student Trial Advocacy Program and participated in both local and national trial competitions. She was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1988 and is licensed in all Michigan Courts. Ms. Scott is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association where she has formerly served on the Circuit Court Case Evaluation Committee and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, and as former chair of the District Court Committee.

Best Financial Practices for your Business: Internal Controls and Record Keeping Made Easy Stephenie M. Whitlock, CPA Stephenie M. Whitlock has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1999. She received her Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting, from the University of New Mexico, and graduated magna cum laude. She is licensed and certified in the State of Michigan, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and also holds the Charter Global Management Accountant designation from the AICPA. Her public accounting experience began working at a number of Michigan-based regional firms, one-on-one with business owners and as well as nonprofit organizations. Stephenie quickly learned about small to medium size businesses, their accounting systems and their unique tax situations, whether it was a C-Corporation, S-Corporation, Partnership or simply a Schedule C. When Limited Liability Companies were first introduced in the State of Michigan, she was immediately involved in learning how the reporting related to compliance with the IRS tax filings. As Stephenie s public accounting experience progressed, she gained audit experience which included SEC internal controls audit work and financial statement audits, both of private companies and nonprofit organizations. In October 2006, Stephenie and her spouse, Kevin, merged their client base from Tedder Consulting and formed Tedder Whitlock Consulting. Stephenie s roles are many at the firm but most significantly she is responsible for the firm s audit engagements, quality control system and procedures, and technical review of the business tax preparation at the firm. The firm consists of 8 to 10 people and provides tax and accounting services to over 400 clients consisting of individuals, real estate agents, small business owners and nonprofit organizations throughout the State of Michigan. The firm is an affiliate member of the Greater Metropolitan Association of REALTORS, and is associated with the Women s Council of Realtors 275 Corridor Chapter and The Michigan Nonprofit Association.
