No. CP SS 47E DigitroniK TM Digital Indicating Controller SDC The DigitroniK SDC is a compact digital controller with multi-range and PID autotuning systems for various inputs, with time proportional (on/off) PID and continuous PID control action. The SDC sends relay contact, voltage, current, and the signals from other variables as control output signals. The controller also enhances process visibility with such functions as remote switch input, control parameters, and local set points, which can be easily set using the smart loader. Features Accuracy of ±.%FS. Type of inputs and ranges can be selected by key operation. Two points can be set concurrently. Autotuning system with two groups of PID control constants. Normal and abnormal operations are indicated by an OK lamp for easy decision making. SP ramp setting function allows the ratio of each set point value to be changed. Four modes of action can be selected using remote switch inputs. Compact and lightweight (Dimensions; 48 x x mm Weight; 4g) Optional functions ensure a wide range of applications: Event outputs (UP to points) Heater burnout alarm Auxiliary outputs RS-C/48 Communications CE Marking compliant Applicable standards: EN -, EN Basic Function Block Diagram Process variable (PV) Thermocouple RTD ma mv Linearization Bias Control outputs (OUT) Relay Current Voltage Event outputs (EV: Up to points) Output limit er Local set point (LSP) (Up to points are settable) Data transmission/ receive SP ramp Set point value limit Direct change Current transformer input (CT: point) Remote switch input (RSW: point) LSP No. PID group No. READY / RUN Timer start Non-operation Control operation circuit PID autotuning Direct/reverse action changeover Process variable Set point Deviation Absolute deviation Alarm Timer output Heater burnout alarm Auxiliary outputs (AUX: point) Process variable Set opint value Control signal output Communications output (COMM) EV EV Heater current input RS-48 RS-C Power supply 8 to 4Vac, or. to.4vdc : Optional functions

CT input PV input Remote switch input Digital circuit ) is not isolated from Current output (Control output) Current output (Auxiliary output) Voltage output (Control output) Relay output (Control output) Event output Event output Communication I/O. Power supply noise () Noise reduction techniques Always use a noise filter to suppress the influence of noise as much as possible, even if noise is unnoticeable. Instrument power supply to 4Vac Noise filter () When noise is evident If noise is observable, suppress it by using an insulation transformer and line filter. Insulation transformer Instrument / V power supply / V to 4Vac Other circuit Line filter (Azbil Corporation s model No. E87) (equivalent to TDK s ZAC-U) Ground E GND 4 Ground. Noise Possible noise sources in the installation environment are: Relays and contacts, electromagnetic coils, solenoid valves, power lines (specifically, those higher than Vac), motor commutators, phase angle control SCRs, radio equipment, welding machines, high-voltage ignition devices, etc. () Suppression techniques for quick rising noise A CR filter is effective for quick rising noise. Recommended filter: Azbil Corporation's model No. 844- (equivalent to Matsuo Electric M) () Suppression technique, for noise with large peaks: A varistor is effective for reducing noise with large peaks. However, care should be taken to avoid shorting if varistor is faulty. Recommended varistor: Azbil Corporation's model No. 844- (for Vac) No. 8447- (for Vac) 4. Grounding Ground this controller at a single point to GND terminal to 4. Don't connect any jumper wiring. Prepare a grounding terminal board separately if grounding of a shield wire is difficult. Grounding type: At least category (Ω max.) Grounding wire: Soft copper wire (AWG4) of more than mm. Grounding wire length: m max. Shield GND Terminal GND 4 At least category Grounding termnal Shield. Wiring operations () Don't bundle the primary and secondary power lines together, and don't run them in the same wiring conduit or duct after carrying out noise countermeasures. () Run the input/output and communication lines more than cm from drive power or power lines of higher than Vac. Don't run these wires in the same wiring conduit or duct.. Check after wiring After wiring, be sure to check the connecting line conditions. Be careful: incorrect wiring will cause the instrument to fail. 7
