Altuglas LED System The most beautiful ideas come at the right time Providing solutions
The harmony of colours the magic To make the most of the LED revolution, we are introducing Altuglas LED System: a special range of diffusing sheet for use with LEDs. Today, LEDs are becoming the new standard sources of coloured light. In signboards, displays, fittings and indicator panels, they are used more and more in place of neon tubes and fluorescent lamps. Altuglas International has developed a new range of acrylic plastics for all these new uses, specifically designed for LED applications; a white diffusing sheet (Altuglas LED System 100. 27100) and a whole range of coloured Altuglas sheets to extend the effect of lighting for your brands. Its optical properties (light scattering and hiding power) have been specially adjusted for maximum effect and a reduction in cost through using less LEDs. + = Altuglas LED System
of light Controlling purity at the light source VISEU (Portugal): Shopping centre, created in Altuglas LED System to enliven and lift the area. Colours reflecting your expectations. Being chemically pure, Altuglas LED System 100. 21700 cast PMMA ensures maximum brightness: 1.800 cd/m2 for an illuminated panel only 7 cm thick using, for example, P516 LEDs spaced 12 cm apart. A high brightness level means a reduction in the number of LEDs. The cost/appearance ratio is unmatched.
Absolute evenness, for smooth lighting Altuglas LED System ensures perfectly even lighting: the diodes no longer appear as spots of light. With Altuglas LED System, they remain invisible and the uniformity of lighting is unequalled. Altuglas LED System also allows use of thinner letter boxes and great flexibility in design, compared with systems using neon tube lighting. The system ensures optimum distribution of colours and is very simple to use. Softer and more accurate, the effect of colour and light stimulates sales. Economical and long-lasting solutions, in tune with the environment Prisme 3 Made of sheet from the Altuglas LED System range, your signboard will be environment-friendly and offer an undeniable cost advantage: fewer LEDs, less energy, very low voltage, a safe system with little maintenance and long life. This new light source is mercury-free (unlike neons and fluorescent tubes), emits no UV or IR rays, operates at low voltage, consumes little energy, takes up little space and combines all the qualities for exceptional lighting performance. Altuglas LED System provides that lighting extra that your project lacked

Unlike fluorescent or neon tubes, which have an angle of dispersion of 360, LEDs have a much narrower angle (from 40 to 140 for example) and can appear as tiny spots of light. Altuglas LED System avoids this phenomenon, known as hot spots, and optimises uniform diffusion. Diffusing properties of Altuglas LED System 100. 27100: Your sign must be visible from all angles (from 0 to 180 ). Diffusion of the light must therefore be as uniform as possible, whatever the viewing angle. Diffusion factor: indicates the evenness of diffusion. Its value should be as close as possible to 1. It is defined as: > where DF is the diffusion factor, and T (20 ), T (70 ) and T (5 ) are the light transmission factors at angles of 20, 70 and 5 respectively. Hiding power: quantifies the efficiency in hiding pin spots created by LEDs ( hot spots ). The value should be as close as possible to 1. > where HP is the hiding power, and T (2 ) et T (0 ), the light transmission at 2 and 0. ½ gain angle ( ): Represents the viewing angle at which transmission is reduced by 50% relative to maximum transmission. The value should be as close as possible to 90.
