p u n c h I n G m a c h I n e s minimized downtime Punch and die plates are adjusted to each other automatically. No screwing is necessary. Punches and dies can be changed rapidly. All machines are equipped with intelligent safety systems, which at any time allow access to the machine. ehrt punching machines feature 3 axes in the Standard and the Professional Line. Work process After programming the work piece and entering the material length of the bar, the computer calculates the maximum number of work pieces. Once the desired amount of work pieces is entered, the bar is pushed toward the stop. Work pieces and waste pieces are sorted during production. The machine will run in an infinite loop until a new work piece is programmed or selected and then just insert new material. To reduce waste even further, different work pieces can be produced from one bar. clamping The work piece is clamped laterally by an exchangeable transport gripper. The gripper pulls it through the machine along the x-axis in order to avoid damaging the work piece. In addition, the work piece is clamped sideways outside the punching area with each punching stroke which also allows the punching of slightly deformed material. punching area A great advantage of lateral clamping is that press cuts are allowed throughout the whole work piece including the border area. The usual restrictions due to clamping jaws do not apply. tool change system All EHRT punching machines are equipped with a linear tool change system which supports quick and easy change of tools.

e h r t p u n c h I n G s o F t W a r e easy handling The MS Windows based punching software is easy to learn. No CNC programming skills are required. All punches within a work piece are shown on the screen. Therefore, programming mistakes are detected easily. When selecting a new piece, all the necessary changes of punching tools are displayed. The software can be used in mm or inches. collision detection The punching software scans each program for possible collisions before it is transferred to the control unit to minimize handling errors. program storage The program for each work piece can be stored as alphanumeric names up to 24 digits. The database allows storage of more than 200.000 different parts which can be located easily using the search and sort options. dxf Interface When importing DXF files, as much of the program as possible is performed automatically.

B e n d I n G m a c h I n e s stroke measurement ehrt bending machines feature bending of single pieces and small batches just as accurately and efficiently as series-produced parts. In the development of our bending machines, we placed great importance on modular configuration. This enables us to offer customized machines for all areas of application. All EHRT bending machines can be equipped with electronic tools in order to grant a high bending accuracy starting with the first work piece. Low material waste are guaranteed. A simple plug-in system supports quick and easy exchange of tools. The control unit can be switched from angular measurement to stroke measurement. This method allows the preselection of the stroke of the bending ram in mm and therefore the immersion depth of the punch into the prism. Setting accuracy is +/- 0.1 mm. A final stroke is usually not required. Further development of the stroke system enables the user to specify an angle from which the stroke is calculated by using stored stroke functions. Bending accuracy in that case is dependent on material properties such as thickness, hardness, etc. which may differ from one work piece to another. angular measurement Our measuring accuracy is 0.1º. This is attained by using bending prisms with electronic angular measurement technology. The computer then calculates the required final stroke. The spring back of every bend is compensated regardless of material type. Our high angle accuracy of +/- 0.2º is achieved instantly with the first work piece. No adjustments are required. Material waste amounts will drop considerably. Even inconsistencies within a single piece of material are automatically adjusted.

e h r t B e n d I n G s o F t W a r e easy handling The Microsoft Windows based software is easy to learn. No CNC programming skills are required. All necessary inputs are prompted and displayed on the screen. Inputs can be corrected at any time and minimum distances are checked instantly to guard against improper inputs. The operator is allowed to use outside, inside, center line, and radius dimensions. Software can be switched between mm and inches. calculated Values Based on extensive empirical values the bending software automatically calculates the flat length of each part being bent and the exact position of the side stop. program storage The program for each work piece can be stored as alphanumeric names up to 24 digits. The database allows storage of more than 200.000 different parts which can be located easily using the search and sort options.
