We need to put on Finn's face before we close up the top of his head. Finn's Face Thread the tapestry needle with beige yarn. Starting with the st with the marker in in, copy the face chart, working right to left, bottom to top.

X X Attach the safety eyes at the X's. Embroider on a smile. Now we can finish his hat! Ears Next rnd: k 6, bo 5, k 7, bo 5, k 7 Place the 7 sts on the far side of the head on a spare needle. (The ones not attached to the yarn.) Join your active sts in the rnd. K 2 rnds Next rnd: [k2tog] twice, k1, [k2tog] twice Break yarn and pull throuh sts. Attach the yarn to the remaining live sts, leaving a long tail for sewing. K1 row, then join in rnd. K2 rnds Next rnd: [k2tog] twice, k1, [k2tog] twice Break yarn and pull throuh sts. Arms (Make 2) CO 5 sts in light blue, leaving long tail for sewing K 5 rnds Break thread and cahnge to beige. K 12 rnds Finishing Using the long tail from the ear, sew the top of Finn's head closed. Stuff his ears, then the rest of his body. Sew his crotch closed. Sew arms to body at sides. The top of the arm attaches at the 2nd row from the top of the shirt. Weave in loose ends. Finn's finished! What a dapper fellow. After all of that color changing, Jake will be a cinch!

Jake Like Finn, Jake is worked from the bottom up. No color change needed-- he's all in gold. Legs (Make 2) CO 5 sts Working in I-cord, k 3 rnds Next rnd: k1, pu&k3, k1 K 10 rnds For leg 1, break yarn, leaving long tail for sewing and set needle aside. On the active ear, work 5 rows in st st, starting with a p row. Next row: k2tog, k1, k2tog For the second ear, attach yarn, leavig long tail for sewing. Work 5 rows in st st so the RS is on top when you fold the ear over Jake's body. Next row: k2tog, k1, k2tog Arms (Make 2) CO 5 sts, leaving long tail for sewing. K 12 rnds in I-cord. Muzzle CO 4 sts, leaving long tail for sewing. K 7 rnds in I-cord.

Tail In the middle of Jake's backside, about 4 sts from the CO edge, PU 3 sts in a circular shape. K 4 rnds in I-cord. Finishing Fold the muzzle in half and sew it to the front of Jake's body, in the center, so the top of the fold is about 1/3 from the top. (See photo for reference.) With the felt, cut out pieces for Jake's eyes and nose. Glue or embroider them into place. Sew the top of Jake's head closed; stuff with poly-fil; sew crotch closed. Attach arms on the sides. The top should be just below the top of the muzzle. Weave in ends. Now go have an adventure!
