Speaker Danielle Giroud I MD-CLINICALS, LAUSANNE, BEIJING Founder and senior faculty board member of the World Medical Device Organization (WMDO), an independent professional organization dedicated exclusively to serving the professional development and educational needs of medical device professionals from around the world. Since 2013, Mrs. Giroud also founded MD-CLINICALS, a 100% medical device dedicated Clinical Research Organization with main activities in the Asia Pacific, South American, European and Middle East countries, regarded as a recognized clinical research and regulatory expert within the medical device industry, she is also currently convener for the expert group on clinical investigations; TC 194 WG4 for the ISO 14155 as well as liaison with the EU Commission - CIE (Clinical Investigation and Evaluation) task force. Speaker Professor Dr. Han Zheng Professor Dr. HAN Zheng is goetzpartners Chair Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Sino-German School for Postgraduate Studies (CDHK), Tongji University, in Shanghai and founder of HAN Executive Advisory and Development (H-EAD.com). Prof. Han studied and worked in Germany, Switzerland, the U.S. and Singapore and holds an Industrial Engineering Master s Degree in Mechanical Engineering of TU Braunschweig in Germany. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and was scholar of the Swiss National Science Foundation, visiting scholar of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and the Wharton-SMU Research Centre in Singapore. Before his academic career he gained relevant practical experience working for McKinsey & Company in Germany. Prof. Han served as Chief Representative and Chief Investment Advisor of the Haniel Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, in China for 7 years. In this capacity he was responsible for strategic investments and the expansion of portfolio companies in the region. He frequently gives trainings and workshops on strategy, innovation and leadership for MNCs. His clients include various MNCs and Hidden Champions in the automotive, mechanical engineering, chemical & pharmaceutical and trading sectors such as AMETEK, BASF, BHS, BOSCH, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Continental, Heraeus, HP, Kiekert, Kirchhoff Group, Leica Camera, Metro Group, MIBA, Mubea, SGS, Voith, Volkswagen and ZF. Speaker Philippe Koller I VICE PRESIDENT MARKETING & SALES, CICOR GROUP Philippe Koller, holds a degree in micro-systems engineering from University of Applied Science, Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland, and an executive MBA from University of Fribourg, Switzerland. He also attended the Strategic Marketing program at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena (CA), USA. Prior to joining Cicor as Vice President Sales & Marketing as of April 2014, Philippe serves as Business Unit Manager of EM Microelectronic a Swatch Group company. He has 25 years of experience in the electronic industry and has held various management positions in Europe and USA with CSEM, Xemics, Semtech and Swatch Group. Welcome Hee Siah Song I VICE PRESIDENT REGION HEAD ASIA, CICOR GROUP Song Hee Siah is Vice President Region Head and Vice President Finance Asia since May 2010 of the Cicor Group. He graduated with ACCA and a fellowship member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), as well as CPA member of The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA); he studied in Ngee Ann Polytechnic (Majoring in Business Studies and Strategy) and continued his studies in ACCA (Professional degree in Accountancy). Prior to joining Cicor Asia, Mr Song was Head of Asia Finance for more than 8 years at Ryder Asia Pacific (Singapore) Pte Ltd. and he brings more than 14 years of working experience as Head of Finance in Yokogawa Electric Asia and Hitachi Consumer Products (S) Pte Ltd. Yokogawa. Speaker Steven Wen I BRANDWOOD BIOMEDICAL, BEIJING Steven joined Brandwood Biomedical in early 2016, bringing with him extensive experience in the rapidly developing regulatory environment of China. Steven s prior experience includes senior roles in quality & regulatory affairs. In two decades working in China he has prepared hundreds of successful regulatory submissions in a wide area of device technologies including active implantables, medical lasers, intraocular lenses, electromedical equipment and medical disposables. Steven has extensive networks in China. He has conducted many consultations and interactions with China Type Testing Centres and with the CFDA s Centre for Medical Device Evaluation. He has participated in development of China and international standards including working alongside technical experts from government and industry in China and internationally. Steven leads Brandwood Biomedical s Beijing office. He is directly responsible for management of China consulting operations. He provides strategic advice on entering the Chinese market and represents clients of Brandwood Biomedical in interactions with CFDA and other government agencies.
