National R&D&I Strategy Main goal: Hungary s innovation performance should reach the EU s average by the end of 2020. Specific objectives: increasing the expenditure on R&D to 1.8 pc of GDP (from 1.2 pc in 2011) renewal and implementation of the R&D&I strategy introduction of indirect supports: tax allowances precommercial procurements, young innovative companies operation of a unified R&D&I monitoring and evaluation system

Bilateral S&T Co-operation Research Exchange (Chinese Academy Hungarian Academy of Sciences, National Innovation Office, universities) Mobility: travel costs, daily allowance, insurance Applications submitted in both countries Decision jointly. New programmes: The HAS and the CAS signed agreement on establishment of joint laboratories in 2014, which is based on the existing exchange of relevant institutions and a strong need to collaborate in designated fields of common interest. The HAS the CASS also signed an agreement in 2014 for developing a Modern China and Hungary researchers cooperation with the aim of integrating researchers involved in Chinese/Hungarian studies and researchers with Chinese/Hungarian research interests.
Momentum Program of HAS The objective of the Momentum Program of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences is a dynamic renewal of the research teams of the Academy and participating universities via attracting outstanding researchers back to Hungary. Momentum teams program is open for the foreign researchers as well.
Twin Fund with China Joint fund with Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) Research mobility, market-oriented research Fund: EUR 700 000/2 ys/country Duration of joint projects: 24 months. NEW CALL WITH CHINA IS COMING IN THIS SUMMER
Future co-operation with China Establishing more twin founds on regional level; Enlargement of the pool for research mobility; Establishing joint laboratories with Chinese research institutions (especially with CAS institutes).
