Introduction As a long-established real estate brokerage in the South Orange County area, Distinctive Coast Properties (DCP) defines a new standard of excellence with our people, operations, branding and marketing programs. The DCP brand identity is the sum total of every touch point that a client or business partner encounters. It is the way we answer the phone. It is the way we show respect and courtesy with everyone we come across. And it is also the visual appearance of our signage, business cards, website and promotional materials. This manual has been prepared to enable everyone associated with DCP to present our visual identity with a high degree of professional consistency. In order to achieve professional consistency throughout all of our communications, we ask that you comply with the guidelines provided here. If you find yourself faced with a graphic or communications challenge that has not been addressed, please share your challenge with either Gina Siebert or myself. We will not only help you solve it, we will incorporate the solution into future editions of the Brand Style Manual. Since its origination in 2005, DCP has served the South Orange County through its offices in San Clemente. Deeply involved in the local community, DCP has a long tradition of placing the highest value on client service and integrity. In 2010, DCP became a founding member of the Harcourts International Real Estate franchise. In 2014, Distinctive Coast Properties has resumed its original name with a new look so it may better serve the South Orange County and support the local community. Together they form a unique trademark that can only be used with the authorization of DCP management. These elements comprised of typeface, shell symbol and colors form the core brand identity and should not be broken up or changed from how they are presented in this manual. For many applications, the vertical (box) lock up will work great. In other situations, you may want to use the horizontal lock up. Vertical Symbol Dominant Logo Lockup For some situations, the vertical symbol dominant configuration shown above right is preferred. The relationship between the words and symbol should remain unaltered. 2

Logo Configuration 1/2x X = height of Shell Symbol X = 1/2x 1/2x 1/2x 1/4x X = height of Blue Box X = 1/4x 1/4x 1/4x White space protects the DCP logo from competing graphic elements such as other text, photography or back-ground patterns that may affect its impact and legibility. Always make sure that clear space requirements are observed. Acceptable clear space on all sides of the logo is equal to ½ the height of the seashell when using the color on white configuration. Color Considerations The DCP logo should always be used on a solid color background and never over a patterned background or photograph. The vertical logo configuration is designed to be used in all environments. When two colors are not possible, use the logo in all black, white or the Wet Sand color. Note: When this guide is printed on an inkjet or color laser printer, the colors may not be accurate. Please refer to a PMS reference guide or color swatch when checking the final color and adjust as needed. 3

Black, White and 1-Color When reproducing the DCP logo in black, white and one color, the logo should always appear as a 100% black or color logo or a 100% white logo. Never a screen or use a % of black It is recommended that the black versions of the DCP logo be used when the background is lighter than 50% black. When the background is darker than 50% black, the white DCP logo should be used. Don t Do This Never manipulate the DCP mark in any way. Never stretch or pull the logo. It must only be reproduced according to the approved position shown in this guide. Do not change the color of the DCP logo. The DCP logo on white should always be used on a white or very light colored background. Never apply it over a patterned background or photograph. When used with a graphically busy background, use the Coast Blue background version. The blue background will separate against most backgrounds. Note: These examples are not an exhaustive list. When in doubt, use a recommended treatment. 7

Minimum Sizing The DCP logo must not be reproduced smaller than 1.5 inches in width when using the Vertical format and 1 inch in width when using the Horizontal format. 1-1/2 Minimum Size for Vertical Logo 1 Minimum Size for Horizontal Logo 8

Typography Recommendation To keep consistency in written and printed materials, it is highly recommended that the following typefaces be used when representing DCP. To download the Open Sans font please go here. www.fonts.com/web-fonts/google. If Open Sans is not availble use Arial Regular. Open Sans Light Use for headlines and titles only.
