ABOUT US WHY REGGIO EMILIA WHERE WE ARE THE PARCO INNOVAZIONE WHY SETTLING HERE SPACES

ABOUT US

Reggiane Spa is the public-private partnership set up by the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and Iren Rinnovabili (Iren Group, one of the main Italian multiutilities) which deals with the infrastructural development of the former Officine Meccaniche Reggiane area. Reggiane Spa aims to develop both in infrastructural and functional terms the Parco Innovazione, today consisting of the Technopole for industrial research and technology transfer and of the Loris Malaguzzi International Centre, home of Reggio Children.

WHY REGGIO EMILIA

REGGIO EMILIA IS IN CENTRE OF ITALIAN PRODUCTION SYSTEM AND IS, WITH ITS 15 BILLION EURO OF GDP/YEAR AND OVER 50,000 COMPANIES, ONE OF THE MAIN ECONOMIC DRIVERS IN ITALY

Piacenza Parma Reggio Emilia Ferrara Modena Bologna Ravenna Forlì Cesena Rimini Made in Italy, Made in Emilia

Reggio Emilia, in the heart of Italy s Food Valley, is a special place where people can find new opportunities to learn more, build and strengthen synergistic international partnerships. Not least because of its highspeed train station, Reggio Emilia AV Mediopadana, that represents one of the most important junctions in northern Italy. Reggio Emilia is connected to the Italy's main cities of art, the cradle of world culture: just 40 minutes from Milan, 1 hour from Florence, 2 hours from Rome and Turin, just over 3 hours from Venice.

The knowledge economy is our model of development for smart and sustainable growth, a system that revolves around research and innovation, cooperation and the transfer of technology. Education and culture, social cohesion and best practices are the other cornerstones of the innovation system, giving Reggio Emilia a cutting edge in such areas as mechatronics, farming and food, green economy, child education, fashion industry.

There is a distinctive factor in Reggio Emilia s social and economic fabric: a unique identity forged by our values centred around the individual and its needs as well as quality of life. The Reggio Emilia way of life is based on hospitality, solidarity, cooperation and quality of services that are the model both in Italy and throughout the world. The educational philosophy carried forth in the Municipal Infant-toddler Centers and Preschools of Reggio Emilia, called Reggio Emilia Approach, has inspired other schools all over the world.

// ENTREPRENEURIAL CAPACITY, at the top of national exports and of innovative industrial production. // C O M P E T I T I V E I N F R A S T R U C T U R E S, connected to main European cities; 100% of the area served by broadband. // ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, at the top of the rankings for waste collection, green areas per capita, water management, energy and natural resources saving. // PASSION FOR CULTURE AND HISTORY. Cultural institutions provide access to knowledge and expressions of art and creativity. // COMMUNITY AND RELATIONSHIPS. Social services, cooperative commitment and openness to the exchange with other cultures make us a welcoming, supportive, responsible community.
