The high guiding accuracy is achieved by high precision linear guiding rails with integrated racks in longitudinal & transverse and brushless AC drives. Beside the excellent cutting performance the biggest advantage of the system is the fact, that while the machine is performing the precise and accurate cutting process, the shuttle table can be unloaded and charged at almost no idle time. Due to its advanced design, the machine is remarkably versatile and flexible to almost any cutting requirements in this machine class. The rugged and solid portal machine is available in different sizes from 2.000 up to 12.000 mm width (up to 11.000 mm cutting width). The base rail length can be extended by precisely machined rails with precision racks at 3,000 mm increments to achieve up to 40.000 mm cutting length - so the machine can be customized for various plate dimensions. Rigid Design for Tough Conditions The machine consists of a solid, reinforced main beam construction which ensures perfect stiffness over the entire machine width, especially in terms of long-term running in heavy duty production environments.. The low positions of the side carriages allows for ease of loading and unloading of the table, e.g. with fork-lift trucks. This solution combines the latest development in AC drive technology with backlash-free planetary gears maintaining highest precision for cutting steel plates in large dimensions at an high positioning rate of up to 24.000 mm/min. The dual linear guiding in transverse ensures accurate travel of the tool carriage as well as extraordinary acceleration values.
The EPCA SmartHole Technology Creating good quality holes means a close cooperation between speed and accuracy, the plasma torch height control, plasma amperage, gas control, gas flow and software programming. Drilling & Marking PrimeCut Delta Bevel Plasma & Drilling EPCA Germany offers a variety of drilling and tapping tool stations for several machine types reaching from small drilling heads for soft sandwich materials to heavy duty drilling and tapping units with internal cooling of tool and a possibility of automatic tool change. Various marking tools as zinc powder marker, punch and Arcmarker as well as needle marker are available. This high productivity system can achieve high quality cuts up to 30 mm thickness. The correct cutting height is ensured by arc voltage control. The solid structure of the rigid and stable gantry construction allows for positioning and cutting speeds up to 18.000 mm/min. High positioning accuracy and cutting precision are ensured by rack and pinion drive with brushless AC motors on linear guiderails in all axis. The integrated downdraft cutting table is provided with an optional extraction and filter system.
