2. WARNINGS & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Failure to read, understand and follow all instructions can result in serious personal injury, damage to equipment or voiding warranty. It is the installer s responsibility to make sure all components are properly installed using the instructions provided.! WARNING! Installation & assembly work must be carried out by properly licenced technicians or qualified trades people. Incorrect installation can cause the Freeframe unit to fall and cause injury. This company assumes no responsibility for injuries or damages that may occur due to improper installation and handling. The unit is designed for use with specific products and weight. Exceeding maximum weight capacity to the moving frame may damage product and equipment and could lead to serious personal injury. Adhering to proper installation instructions is critical in ensuring all components function properly. A small difference in installation can lead to a severely skewed and distorted projection image. In order to obtain a square image without the use of digital adjustment of the projector, follow the step by step instructions as shown. Installation will require the lifting of heavy components. A minimum of two people are required. Fully tighten all mounting screws as specified in the installation instructions. However, attachment points can be damaged if a power drill is used to tighten screws. Screws should be turned by hand first before tightening with a hex key. Do not over tighten screws. Check fasteners regularly to avoid parts becoming loose. Do not allow children to climb onto the frame Make sure cables are not caught between moving parts to ensure cables will not be damaged. Cable tie all loose cables to avoid damage. Watch your head when lowering the board. The projector will lower to head height. Injury can occur from possible collision with head. Do not stand directly underneath the projector. When the Freeframe is not in use, lock the castors and fold the foot brace down to avoid tipping. Make sure the fully raised height of the Freeframe does not exceed the height of the building/room the Freeframe will be used in. 3

5. INSTALLATION: Attach feet! WARNING! FREEFRAME UNIT EXCEEDS 15KG. TWO MEN OPERATION REQUIRED. (1) Lift Freeframe out of the carton. If required, use the carton as support for the attaching the feet. (2) Attached the feet to the uprights of the IWB frame assembly with M10-35 bolts supplied in fastener kit and tightened using supplied tools. 1 2 M10-35 hex head bolt & washer 9

6. INSTALLATION: Stand Freeframe upright 1 3 2! WARNING! (1) Once the feet are attached, tilt the Freeframe assembly forward to stand on the castors on the feet. Apply brakes to castors (2) Lock the castors in place to stop the freeframe from moving. (3) Use the foot brace to give more stability before proceeding to the next stage of installation. For more detailed instructions for the operation of the foot brace, refer to page 22. 10

7. INSTALLATION: Attach switch bracket 1 2 3 4 (1) Attach brackets together as shown with M8 nylock nuts. (2) Attach switch to the brackets by securing it with the plate and M4 nylock nuts. (3) Hook the U shaped bracket around the upright leg of the Freeframe just above the lower horizontal beam. (4) Attach the brackets together to form a clamp around the leg of the Freeframe and tighten with M6 screws. 11

8. INSTALLATION: Attach projector extension 110mm 1 110mm 2 584.50 390.00 584.50 (1) Determine the required offset for the projector to be used. (2) Attach projector extension to the top of the Freeframe. 3 (3) Secure projector extension to the Freeframe with socket head screws, nut and rectangular washers supplied in fastener kit. 12

9. INSTALLATION: Attach board Refer to instructions for specific Interactive whiteboards. 13

11. INSTALLATION: Cable management 1 2! WARNING! 3 Loose cables can be damaged during the use of the Freeframe. Cable tie all loose cable. 4 Cable tie loose cables to avoid possible damage. Use the path shown as a guide in securing loose cables. 5 (1) Cables from projector go through a hole in the side of the projector arm. (2) Cables comes through the projector arm and over the top and behind the projector frame extension. 6 (3) Cables are secured to the projector frame extension using cable ties through holes on the frame extension. (4) Cables are fed between the two frames. Make sure there is no pinching on the cables. (5) Cables are cable tied to the scissor arms of the cable management system. (6) Cables are fed through or around the control box. 15

12. INSTALLATION: Attach speakers (optional extra) 1 (1) Attach speakers to both left and right side mounting brackets using M4 screws. 2 (2) Attach speakers onto the Freeframe by screwing the mounting brackets onto the Freeframe using M8-16 button head screws supplied. 16

13. INSTALLATION: Attach laptop shelf 1 2 3 (1) Undo tri-wheel from laptop shelp. (2) Hook laptop shelf onto support beam on Freeframe (as shown) (3) Re-attach tri-wheel, and tighten to secure laptop to Freeframe. 17

14. INSTALLATION: Attach foot brace (retrofit only) 2 1 2 (1) Place Retrofit foot brace over the feet. (2) Screw clamp brackets into place with screws (marked in red) on both sides of the foot brace. Fully tighten the screws by hand to clamp down securely to the foot. 18

15. INSTRUCTION: Raising & lowering board 1 (1) To raise or lower the board, use the switch mounted on the side of the Freeframe. 19

! WARNING! Do not stand underneath the projector when to avoid collision/injury to the head. Make sure no one underneath the board or the projector before raising or lowering the board. 20

16. INSTRUCTION: Moving Freeframe! WARNING! Wheeling Freeframe in the incorrect way may cause the stand to tip backwards. 1 2 (1) Correct way to push the Freeframe, from the side for more stable movement. (2) Incorrect way of wheeling the Freeframe can cause the stand to become unbalanced and may tip over. 21

17. INSTRUCTION: Using the stabilising foot brace! WARNING! Fold the stability brace up when moving Freeframe. Fold the stability brace down to provide stability to the frame. (1A) Folding the brace down. Make sure the lock clip is not in the way. (1B) Turn the lock clip (marked in red) 90 degrees to hold the brace in place. (2A) Turn the lock clip back 90 degrees to allow the brace to fold back up. (2B) Fold brace upwards. 1A 1B 1. Stability brace folded up. Ensure the brace is folded up when moving the freeframe. 2. Stability brace folded down. Ensure the brace is folded down when using the freeframe. 2A 2B 2 1 22

18. INSTRUCTION: Folding & unfolding laptop shelf 1 2 FOLDING SHELF DOWN (1) Lift up tab (coloured in red). (2) Let the shelf drop down into place. FOLDING SHELF UP (3) Lift shelf surface upwards. 3 (4) The tab automatically slides back down to hold the shelf up. 4 23

19. INSTRUCTION: Swivel projector out of the way 1 2 3 (1) Loosen tri-wheel to allow the projector frame extension to swivel along the slot. (2) Swivel the projector frame extension (with projector) to the side. Tighten tri-wheel fully by hand to hold in place. (3) Turn the extension back all the way along the slot to reset to centered position. 24

20. INSTRUCTION: Moving Freeframe through doorways 1 2 (1) To move a fully installed Freeframe through a doorway, the projector must be swivelled out of the way, and the laptop shelf folded up. (2) For extra narrow doorways, try wheeling the Freeframe through doorways at an angle. 25
