An Affiliate Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners Newsletter of the Treasure Coast Woodturning Guild Hi Everyone, Presidents Message I got through my little operation without too much inconvenient and am back up to almost 100%. Of course while I was down a whole new load of Rosewood became available and we were able to get all of it, the other half of the area is ready and we will be hauling wood this Saturday. Thanks to Paul Struve, Jim Pruitt, Bob Ashley,Tom Cross, Bob Sande and some paid help we were able to get a load of great stuff. I mostly pointed and sat in a lawn chair but gave a bunch of moral support. I am sending an attachment on this letter of an up coming wood show to be held at Art Mundo downtown Ft. Pierce I would like a good showing from our guild and anyone else that else you all think would be interested. The show is going to be in the upstairs gallery and will be on exhibit for two months. A lot of people attend these shows and past sales have been good for exhibitors. If you have any questions contact me and I will do my best to help. I believe we are going to vote on the revised by-laws this meeting and we need your attendance to help make things official. our thanks to Dawn for working on this project. It is plenty hot working in the shop this month and we can expect more of the same throughout the rest of the summer, but I would still like to see plenty of work at our instant gallery at the meetings. It does not have to special just something you did and want others to see. I am impressed each meeting with the caliber of work you all are bringing in and can't wait to see your new creations. We should be proud of the level of work we produce. I plan on having everyone over on Saturday June 23 for our wood raffle and demos (plenty of rosewood) so if you all can think of anything we need to demo or have tools to show let me know at the meeting and we can plan our work day That is it for now see you all at the meeting Tuesday June 19, at the usual place.
