The Fifth Replenishment of IFD s Resources was declared effective on 7 September 2001. Since then, additional instruments of contribution totalling the equivalent of USD 27.5 million have been received, as follows: mount Member State (USD equivalent) ustria 5 900 000 India 12 000 000 Kuwait 2 000 000 Saudi rabia 3 000 000 Venezuela 4 600 000 Total 27 500 000 2. s of 5 October 2001, therefore, the aggregrate amount of instruments of contribution deposited with the Fund reached the equivalent of USD 256.0 million. This amount, together with payments from Member Countries that are not supported by instruments of contribution, total USD 260.7 million equivalent, representing 59.8% of the total pledges of USD 435.8 million under the Fifth Replenishment. 3. Delegates are kindly requested to bring their documents to meetings and to limit requests for additional copies.

4. With these payments, the cash and promissory notes received as of 5 October 2001 amounted to USD 79.0 million equivalent. 5. Recalling Governing Council Resolution 119/XXIV on the Fifth Replenishment of IFD s Resources, Board Members are reminded that paragraph 6(a)(i) of the Resolution stipulates the following: Members making contributions under this Resolution shall deposit with the Fund, not later than a date six months after the date of the completion of the Resolution, an Instrument of Contribution specifying therein the amount of its contribution.. 6. Member Countries that have not yet deposited their instrument of contribution are urged to do so as soon as possible. 7. Member Countries that have deposited their instrument of contribution but have not yet paid the first instalment of their contribution are requested to do as soon as possible, except in the case of those for which the schedules of payment differ from the provisions contained in paragraph II.9(a)(i) and (ii) of Resolution 119/XXIV and have been accepted by the President of IFD under the authorization delegated to him by the Executive Board at its Seventy-Second Session in pril 2001. 8. Under Complementary Contributions to the Fifth Replenishment, as of 5 October 2001, total payments from Belgium remain at the equivalent total of USD 10.8 million against its pledge of USD 15.5 million equivalent. 9.
