MCAC SCHOLARSHIP SERIES RE-NAMED IN HONOUR OF RICHARD MCKEAGAN MCAC Board of Directors named the MCAC scholarship series after no-retired, long-time Presdient, Reichard McKeagan. MeKeagan served for more than 28 years as President and CEO of MCA Canada. During a career that spanned more than 40 years, he was instrumental in launching such initiatives as the Construction Education Council, The Mechanical Service Contractors of Canada and the National Trade Contractors Council of Canada. MCA Canada awards its suite of scholarships annually to post-secondary students and graduates pursuing careers in the mechanical contracting industry. The MCA Canada Board of Directors voted to rename the scholarship series to the Richard McKeagan Scholarship Series as a tribute to McKeagan s long service and meaningful contributions to MCAC. The MCAC awarded $25,000 this year from the MCAC Scholarship Series. It provides networking, education, mentoring and professionaldevelopment opportunities specifically dedicated to helping women in mechanical construction build long and productive careers in our industry. General membership is open to all women who work in any capacity at a MCA Canadamember mechanical contracting business. Affiliate membership is open to all women who are MCA association executives, associate member representatives and members of MCA Canada student chapters. Conference Networking Session The Women in Mechanical Contracting held their first networking session during the conference on Friday, September 21st, 2018.
