Nominees for KPRAI Committee 2017 Members nominated for election to the Committee Neil COSTER I am a resident of Rewa Rewa apartments and have been since occupation was formally available. I am an engineer by profession, qualified with NZCE in Production Engineering (and REA, no longer current due to retirement). I was self-employed as an engineering consultant for 10 years before taking up a part time job at retirement. I now work as plant engineer for a manufacturing company four days a week (Monday through Thursday), and I do voluntary work every second Friday. Mobile: 027 694 7647 Email: neilcoster@xtra.co.nz Until taking up the offer to join the KPRA committee I was an original member of the Rewa Rewa Body Corporate, primarily taking responsibility for maintenance issues. In past years I have been involved in engineering related sales and service positions, including department management in a large company, and company management (and shareholder) in a small concern. Cheryl GAMMON Mobile: 021 034 4136 Email: ray_cheryl@xtra.co.nz After 19 years on a lifestyle block in Dairy Flat, Ray and I moved to Kensington Park in May 2016. We love the lifestyle that Kensington Park offers with its close walking proximity to the beach, Eaves Bush and shops and restaurants, as well as within the Park itself, and the community gardens and social activities that arise from living in a community. We also value the diversity of the community and the range in ages from families with young children to retirees. As a Pharmacist I have spent most of my working life working on the North Shore and Hibiscus Coast, as an owner, manager and locum Pharmacist, before returning to study and gaining a PhD in Nutritional Sciences in 2014. I currently work part-time as a lecturer at Massey University Albany, as well as continuing to do some locum Pharmacy work. My working life has seen me in various management and committee roles. I think that I have the organisational and people skills, along with a practical approach, that would allow me to positively contribute to the association and our community. I have always had a strong interest in gardening, which culminated in the development of a 2 acre house block with a large kitchen garden and extensive plantings of fruit and amenity trees on our previous property, and so am a strong supporter of the continued and sustainable development of the surroundings of Kensington Park. Terence (Terry) HOLDING Mobile: 021 502 687 Email: holding@xtra.co.nz I am a Justice of the Peace. Currently I am the Relationships Manager and the Director of International Students at Takapuna Grammar School. I have had a forty year career in secondary state school education in New Zealand, including being a Deputy Principal and Associate Principal for more than fifteen years. I have been involved with sports clubs, as the Secretary, on committees, and Trusts, for many years. I have travelled extensively both for my work in international student recruitment and as a private traveller. I am the father of three adult children and a grandfather of four. I moved into Kensington Park, with my wife, Robin, in May 2016. With the rapid growth of the Park I believe that the Residents Association will become increasingly important in ensuring our community remains true to its original philosophy: one that retains high standards of maintenance and quality facilities for all. The environment, of the Park, is what attracted us and will attract new residents to live here. I am a good problem solver, a good communicator, I work well as a member of a team and I have the time and energy to give to this position and to all Kensington Park residents. Ross PRATT Mobile: 021 881 850 Email: rossnlucey@xnet.co.nz We have been residents at Kensington Park since February 2013 and fully intend to continue to live here for many years to come. As a member of the committee I hope to be able to contribute in some small way to the ongoing administration of the Residents Association. In 2008 I retired after 20 years as Manager Retail Business Services for Foodstuffs Auckland where I had been responsible for all the budgeting and day to day accounting for the regional New World and Pak n Save supermarkets. In this role I had a staff of up to 20 people and effectively had a privately controlled Chartered Accounting practice within the corporate environment. At the time I was a Chartered Accountant. Prior to this I had been Company Secretary of two companies involved in forestry and farming, both listed on the NZ Stock Exchange. As part of my duties with these companies, I was responsible for all administrative and regulatory requirements for each company. This included annual reports, conduct of AGM s and all accounting and reporting functions. Page 2 of 5

Tony SHEARS Mobile: 027 494 4782 Email: tony.shears@opus.co.nz Rob SMALL Mobile: 021 170 6706 Email: robsmallunlimited@gmail.com I have lived in Kensington Drive since 2010, and have been involved with the Residents Association since 2008. Married to Elizabeth for 40 years, we have 4 adult children and are now enjoying the fun of having grandchildren visit and explore Kensington Park. My entire engineering career has been with Opus International Consultants, where I have a leadership role across our NZ Architectural and Engineering teams, working in building design and construction. My family has grown up on the Hibiscus Coast, and I have been involved with committee and governance roles on several sporting and education facilities. I now enjoy living in Kensington Park and I am keen to work with the Residents Association and KPHL to ensure we deliver on the vision of a great master-planned community. Rob has been living in Kensington Park with his wife Glenn for 5 years. Rob is retired having led a distinguished career in Local Government in New Zealand and Australia. Currently he is NZ General Manager of Greenfleet, a carbon offsetting/native biodiversity enrichment company. He has significant experience in governance of public and community organisations and is well acquainted with constitutional matters that relate to them. He has served on the following organisations amongst many others: Former Director of Regional Parks in Auckland and CEO in Local Government Former world President of the International Federation of Parks and Recreation Former Director and Head Judge of the World s most Liveable Cities Competition Former Colac Otway Council (Victoria/Australia) CEO Former Whangarei City Council Director of Community Services. Rob is keen to see community involvement in the affairs of Kensington Park. Page 3 of 5

Members serving their second year on the Committee Marion ELLIS Mobile: 021 497 352 Email: marion.marbrack@gmail.com I am a returning KPRA Committee member, having served a two year circle. In that time I established The Kensington newsletter and led the Community facet of the Committee s functions. This included being a member of the Social Committee, a joint involvement with KPH and KPRA. I established the Friends of the Orchard, leading a group of residents who have developed the Landmark Orchard. More recently, I created the Wednesday Wacky Weeders, a group of KP residents who meet for an hour on Wednesday to weed and tidy a pocket of garden somewhere in Kensington Park. A hockey umpire for many years, I am a Life Member of the North Harbour Hockey Association (NHHA), where I am involved with umpire development, especially junior umpires. I am also an active walker. When at home, I enjoy sewing my own clothes and reading. Chris FROMOW Mobile: 021 781 662 Email: chris_fromow@yahoo.com My husband Ash and I have resided in Kensington Park for four years. We love being here and being a part of this active and friendly community. It is now time for me to give something back to the residents and that is my time, to serve on your committee. I have retired after teaching for 47 years in many NZ High Schools. The most recent being Deputy Principal at Long Bay College. During my career I have been on many athletic and service based committees, many of them in the role of Chairperson or President, so I believe I do have the experience to support Kensington Park. Like so many of you I am a Parent and Grandparent, whose grandchildren regularly visit and enjoy our facilities I am also a Marriage and Funeral Celebrant. Page 4 of 5

Rob INSULL Rob and Robin reside in Lakeside apartments where Rob has been a member of the Owners Committee for their Body Corporate for two terms.
