Before Starting: Please read and understand these instructions. Not following these instructions will invalidate your warranty (although this does not affect your statutory rights) and could cause injury during or after installation. This is a two-person job. All glass must be handled with great care. This product is made from toughened glass and must not be replaced by standard, non-certifi ed material. If you are in any doubt, call the helpline or consult a suitably qualifi ed person. Check that all parts listed on page 3 are included in the box and that you have the necessary tools to hand. Note that some parts, such as screws, may have more than the number stated. We cannot accept liability for any costs arising from installation of damaged or faulty parts. Ensure you have suffi cient space and a clean, dry area for assembly. This product should ideally be fi tted to a fl at wall, although it will allow for walls that are up to 20mm out of true. However, if the surface is uneven, additional silicone sealing will be required. Note: This product should only be fi tted over a sound tiled surface. Important: The wall plugs included in this pack are for solid walls only. If the product is to be mounted on a partition or stud wall, specialised fixings should be purchased separately. CAUTION! Before drilling into any walls, check that there are no hidden cables or pipes. Exercise great care when using power tools near water. The use of a residual current device (RCD) or cordless drill is recommended. Always double-check the position and your measurements before drilling holes. Protective eyewear should be used when drilling and handling glass. Keep children away from the work area and remember that all small parts, plastic bags and tools should also be kept out of reach of children. Fixing tips: A piece of insulating tape or a couple of layers of masking tape applied to the wall before marking out the fi xing holes will help stop the drill from wandering on tiled surfaces. Also, to avoid the loss of small parts down the drain, put the plug in the plughole. Additionally, take care not to drop accessories or tools onto the shower tray; use a towel or bathmat to protect delicate surfaces. Tools required 1. STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 1. Ensure that all parts listed on page 3 are included in the box and that you have the necessary tools to hand (some parts such as screws may have more than the number stated). Ensure that you have suffi cient space and a clean, dry area for assembly. 2. Using the spirit level, ensure that the shower tray (or base of the shower) is level on all sides. 3. Carefully join the two halves of the frame (with side panels) together using the 2 x 90º frame joining pieces and screws Fig.1. 4. Push fi t the 2 frame ends channels onto the completed frame assembly (lip with screw slots facing inwards) and with your assistant, position the complete assembly in the desired position over the shower tray. Check horizontal and vertical alignments using the spirit level Fig.2. 5. Again, with your assistant holding this in place, mark the position of the screw slots in the frame end channels, on the tiled wall, with the marker pencil Fig.3. 1 2 3 6. Put the frame (with the end frame channels attached) to one side and drill the marked locations, using a 6mm masonry drill bit for a 40mm wall plug Fig.4. 7. Insert the wall plugs into the drilled hole using the rubber mallet to ensure fl ush fi tting with the wall surface Fig.5. 8. Loosely fi x the end frame channels to the corresponding wall, using 8 x 40mm (4 each side) screws and screw cap washers Fig.6 (Picture shows end frame channel without frame assembly attached, for clarity). 10. With your assistant fi rmly holding the frame assembly, re-check the vertical alignment with the spirit level. Minor adjustment can be made using the end frame channel slots, to ensure alignment. When correct, tighten. 11. With all levels correct, drill fi xing holes into the frame (3 per side), using a 3mm Metal drill bit and secure using 6 x 10mm screws Fig. 7. 6 7 8 12. Fitting the doors: Position the upper door rollers onto the top track Fig. 8 (Arrow up). Once in position, then depress the buttons on the lower rollers and push onto the lower track Fig. 9 the doors should now move freely. Ensure smooth operation of the door and correct alignment of the magnetic strip when closing Fig.10. If this is not the case, make sure all rollers are properly located. If this is OK, then the levels can be adjusted using the adjusting screws in the upper rollers on the sliding doors (Fig.16). clockwise will raise and anti-clockwise will lower the corresponding door side. 13. Attach the sealing strips; the shorter strip onto the sliding door edges and the longer strips onto the fi xed panel edges Fig.11. Secure the enclosure to the end channels using the 3 x10mm screws and screw cap washers at each side. Fig.12. 12 13 14 14. Insert the 6 blanking pieces into their corresponding positions, as shown in Figs 13 & 14. Fixing can be completed using silicone sealant. 15. 16 17 16. Making sure the room is well ventilated; fi nish off by applying silicone sealant as shown in Fig.17. NOTE: Sealant should not be applied to the inside of the enclosure when fi tted over tiles (only the outside) this stops water from becoming trapped and turning stagnant. Cleaning and Maintenance Cleaning Important - Household cleaners can contain abrasive and chemical products that can damage the aluminium or painted surface and plastic fittings. These should be cleaned with a mild detergent and wiped dry with a soft cloth. Always read the label before you use any cleaning products. Always rinse the glass and frame with clean water after use, regular cleaning is required to prevent the build up of soap/scum or limescale in hard water areas. Maintenance Ensure that this product is regularly checked for damaged or loose parts. These instructions should be retained by the end user for future reference.
