I began my journey with Endometriosis at the age of 19. My initial diagnosis indicated stage 4 Endometriosis. After 7 operations, countless hormone treatments and an entire cornucopia of painkillers, I decided something had to change! It was no way to live! My period pain each month became my guide and I explored various ways of reducing it. I researched countless websites, read heaps of books and attended seminars and talks to finally understand my body and what it really needed. I have even extended my studies with a Degree in Natural Medicine! The body is actually quite fascinating when we understand it. The thing was, I figured out that the body is incredibly smart and genuinely wants to be as healthy as possible. It wants to heal and we just need to provide it with the right environment for it to do that. Here s the thing.. I no longer have any symptoms of Endometriosis. I no longer have pain with my Endometriosis: or rarely if I do. I want you to experience the same thing! I want you to know how you can successfully manage your Endometriosis - hence creating EndoEmpowered.com and my REACH Technique. This is a culmination of all that I have learnt over the years - all you need to do is implement it! So, lets get started
What is the REACH Technique? The REACH Technique is the perfect formula for successfully managing your Endometriosis. Here is a basic outline: R = Replenish This is all about supplying the body with the tools it needs to truly heal. This looks at your diet, your breathing and your fluid intake. Let s give your body what it really needs! E = Exercise Get your body moving and notice how the adhesions and pain reduces. It also aids with that low energy level. * I recommend certain types of exercise for Endometriosis. A = Affirm This is all about our mental headspace around your body, your endometriosis and yourself. Every cell in our bodies responds to the messages it receives from the brain. Let s make them good ones! C = Cleanse We need to get all the stuff out of the body that is not meant to be there. Flush that bad stuff out! H = Help Along our Journey, we need support and help to ensure we stay motivated to reach our goals.
Step 1 - Replenish your body Eat a diet that is nutrient dense and reduces inflammation and pain. Use herbs and supplements that can promote healing and super health.
Step 2 - Exercise Here are some really easy tips to move your body and loosen those adhesions with endometriosis. Just commit to doing10minutes morning and night. Start with the basics. Just stretch your body, as if you were going for a run. (without doing the run!). Do some twists, wiggle your butt, flex your calf muscles, shake your arms around. It doesn t need to be much but just get into a habit of loosening your muscles and fascia. Really good first thing in the morning. Think of how much cats stretch when they wake up! When you feel ready, move onto walking and Yoga. Yoga is incredibly gentle and super powerful for Endometriosis.
Step 3 - Affirm The fact that you are here means you are ready for change! Start with your thoughts and actions towards your body and yourself. Treat yourself as if you were your best friend. Show true love and kindness towards yourself. Stop beating yourself up and appreciate the specialness that is you. Take time out, say no and reward yourself with true joy. Believe in your bodies ability to heal. Open yourself up to that real potential. If negative thoughts enter your mind, simply replace them with: I am making steps each day, towards healing and wellness.
Step 4 - Cleanse Unfortunately, with years of taking pain-killers, hormone treatments plus all that stuff that simply exists in our daily lives, we have accumulated lots of toxins inside our bodies. These toxins can cause inflammatory responses in the body.. so we want them out! Start each morning with a half a lemon squeezed in warm water. This gets everything going and flushes out toxins from the body. Drink pure, filtered water each day and begin your day with a full glass. Get your digestion working well and get regular! Reduce your exposure to more toxins by choosing natural alternatives.
