Cut on the diagonal twice for (4) H triangles (you will only need 2 J triangles for the quilt), set aside for Block 4 (2) 4 7/8 squares. Cut on the diagonal once for (4) J triangles, set aside for Block 4 (2) 4 1/2" E squares, set aside for Block 4 Geo Dot - Gray Cut (4) 3 1/4" strips, set strips aside Cut (2) 1 3/4" strips, set strips aside Cut (1) 2 1/8 strip, cut into (6) 2 1/8 squares. Cut on the diagonal once to yield (12) G triangles Sewing 1. Sew the (3) 3 1/4" Flower - Red strips to (3) 1 3/4 Flower Black strips. Press towards the Red strip. Cut into (72) 1 3/4" x 4 1/2 rectangles. Sew (3) 3 1/4" Geo Dot Gray strips to the 1 3/4" Flower Black Strips. Press towards the Gray strip. Cut into (72) 1 3/4" x 4 1/2 rectangles. Press towards C. Set aside for Block 4. Make 10 Make 8 6. Sew the remaining (1 1/2) 3 1/4" Flower Pigment White strips to the 1 3/4" Geo Dot Gray strips. Press towards the Gray strip. Cut into (30) 1 3/4" x 4 1/2" rectangles. A 7. Sew the Units created in set 6 to the right side of the (30) Flower Pigment White A rectangles. You will need (10) for Block 1, (8) for Block 2, (6) for Block 3 and (6) for Block 4. Press all seams towards the smaller, pieced rectangle. Make 30 8. Sew (10) Flower Red D squares to the (10) Bow Tie - White/Black B rectangles. Then, sew these units to the right side of the (10) Bow Tie - White/Black A rectangles. Press towards the smaller, pieced rectangle. Set aside for Block 1. Make 10 9. Sew a Flower Red D square to the (8) Plaid White/Black B rectangles. Then, sew these units to the left side of the (8) Plaid White/Black A rectangles. Press towards the smaller, pieced rectangle. Set aside for Block 2. Make 8 10. Sew a Flower Red D square to (6) Leaf - White/Black B rectangles. Then, sew these units to the left side of the (6) Leaf White/ Black A rectangles. Press towards the smaller, pieced rectangle. Make (6) of each 6. Sew (6) Flower - Red G triangles to (6) Leaf - White/Black B rectangles. Press towards the triangle. Make (4) Make (2) 7. Sew (6) Flower - Red G trianlges to (6) String Beads - White/Black B rectangles. Press towards the triangle. Make (2) Make (4) 8. There are four different side setting triangles made from the remaining segments of Block 3 and 4 made in previous steps, (1) H triangle and (2) Flower - Pigment White F triangles. Lay out your pieces for each setting triangle as shown below. Sew the sections into rows, then sew the rows together to complete. Make sure that the fabrics in your setting triangles match Blocks 3 & 4.

Following the assembly diagram below lay your blocks out in diagonal rows. 2. Sew the blocks together to make diagonal rows, then sew the rows together to complete the top.
STUDIO e PROJECTS Page 10 of 10 Layering, Quilting and Finishing 1. Make a backing that measures 63" x 63". 2. Press the quilt top and backing well. Layer backing (wrong side up), batting and quilt top (right side up) and baste. Quilt as desired and trim excess batting and backing when quilting is complete. 3. Cut the ends of the binding strips at a 45-degree angle and sew end to end to make one continuous piece of binding. Fold in half lengthwise and press wrong sides together. Sew the binding to the quilt, raw edges together. Turn and fold edge to the back and hand stitch in place. 2014 Studio e Fabrics
