Multi-Channel Powe Amplifi es CX-A450 & CX-A850 482.6mm / 19" 88mm / 3 1 /2" (2U) Clou CX-A450 font view Clou CX-A450 ea view 482.6mm / 19" 88mm / 3 1 /2" (2U) Clou CX-A850 font view Geneal Desciption he Clou CX-A450 an CX-A850 ae high-quality multichannel powe amplifi es esigne fo elatively low-powe soun einfocement applications in commecial o inustial pemises. hey ae ieal fo situations whee the vaious locations of the builing equie iffeent pogamme mateial an/o levels. he two moels ae: Moel CX-A450 CX-A850 Powe 4 x 50 W 8 x 50 W he amplifi es will elive thei ate powe into 4 ohm loas fo long peios of time. Safety featues of the esign inclue Clou s Dynamic Clipping Potection cicuity, VI limiting, switch-on elay (5 secons) an potection against DC offset o themal oveloa. oth moels ae built in a 2U steel enclosue, an use vaiable spee foce-ai cooling. Any two channels may be wie in ige Moe, allowing powe outputs of ouble the nomal ating to be elivee to a loa of 8 ohms (minimum). Clou CX-A850 ea view In aition to the powe switch an associate LED, the font panel is fi tte with thee LEDs fo each channel, confi ming signal pesence, peak level an activation of the potection cicuity. Rea panel contols ae povie fo iniviual channel gain tims an input outing to confi gue the amplifi e in vaious combinations of mono, steeo o multi-channel opeation. he inputs ae electonically balance. he CX-A450 an CX-A850 may also be use with 100 V/70 V-line louspeake systems by the aition of stana Clou accessoies. he CXL-4160 is a fou channel tansfome moule which can be intenally fi tte to the CX-A450, while the CXL-40 is a single channel tooial tansfome moule fo extenal mounting. Fo installation convenience, the CXL-800, a 2U ackmounting assembly which can hol up to eight CXL-40s, is also available. o pevent LF tansfome satuation in 100 V/70 V-line systems, a 65 high-pass fi lte may be enable fo each channel iniviually, by intenal jumpe. Othe stana options ae Clou RL-1 emote volume contol plates, the VCA-5 single-channel VCA ca (equie fo level contol by RL-1), an EQ cas to suit vaious makes an moels of louspeakes. Remote level contol o speake EQ may be fi tte to any o all channels.

Geneal pupose, high quality 4 an 8-channel powe amplifies with supeio auio pefomance 4 x 50 W (CX-A450) o 8 x 50 W (CX-A850) into 4 ohms Vey low inte-channel cosstalk hemal potection VI limiting DC offset potection Dynamic Clipping Potection Switch-on elay (fo speake potection uing powe ail stabilisation) Pais of channels may be opeate in ige Moe Pe-channel, font-panel LEDs fo signal pesence, peak level an potection status alance line level inputs with gain tim Rea panel switches to configue fo multichannel, steeo o mono opeation Optional intenal 4-channel 100 V/70 V tansfome moule (CX-A450 only) Optional extenally-mountable 100 V/70 V tansfomes (pe channel) Optional emote volume contol (pe-channel) A ange of optional pe-channel EQ cas, to match vaious popula louspeakes 2U 19 ackmounting units Vaiable spee foce-ai cooling Five yea waanty lock Diagam CX-A850 ONLY

Input Routing he input outing switches of the CX-A450 an CX-A850 pemit vaious pemutations of mono, steeo an multi-channel opeation without any extenal paallel wiing. Some possibilities ae shown below:

System Example CX-A450 an CX-A850 amplifies exceptional cosstalk pefomance make them paticulaly suitable fo any application whee iffeent auio souces nee to be oute to vaious zones (pats of a builing). hey ae equally suitable in a situation whee a common auio souce nees to be epouce at iffeent levels in vaious zones. he flexibility of the amplifies input outing makes it possible to hanle a mixtue of mono an steeo souces without complex wiing. In many applications, the powe amplifies will be use in combination with a Clou Zone, to pemit paging an emegency oveie. An example is the CX263 zone, which suppots thee zones, one of which may be steeo. In the example shown below, whee a CX263 is use with a CX-A450, Chs. 1 & 2 ae use to ive steeo to Zone 1, while Chs. 3 & 4 ae use fo the mono signals to Zones 2 an 3 espectively. Simila mono-steeo aangements ae possible with the Clou CX163 an Z4II zones. In anothe situation, it might be necessay to oute the same auio to seveal iffeent zones, but allow each zone to ajust its own level. his can be easily achieve by poviing each zone with a Clou RL-1 emote volume contol plate, an setting the amplifie s input outing to paallel all the channels. Only a single input fee nees to be supplie, to Channel 1
