About M. Jones Creations Artist: Matt Jones Location: Burford, ON It started out as a hobby, but my kids convinced me to take it to the next level. Each piece I create is completely unique. I start with materials full of history, coming from 100+ year old barns in Southwestern Ontario. The finished product is a balance of rustic simplicity and quality finishes that enhance the natural character of the components. Reclaimed Materials All barn board is salvaged from properties in Southern Ontario. Wood is left with original nails and knots to preserve the authentic, rustic appeal of the raw materials.
Barn Board Flags These rustic flags were hand-crafted from reclaimed board from a 100+ year old barn in Southern Ontario. The wood was left with original nails and knots to keep the authentic, rustic appeal. Available in sizes up to 24 x 48 inches. Include 2 wire hooks for easy hanging. All wall hangings are paint-sealed to offer some weather protection.

World Map Wall Hanging 3 x 6, made with naily barn-board. The wood is salvaged from barns across Southern Ontario, cut and finished so to preserve the character of the original materials. Available in blue, natural or grey. The map is hand-painted and ready to hang, making a beautiful rustic statement piece or headboard.
Railway Spike Coat Hooks Each hook is hand-crafted from a salvaged railway spike from southern Ontario, finished with oil rubbed bronze paint. These hooks can be used as part of a barnbrace coat rack, or mounted on their own.
Coat Racks with Railway Spikes Made with salvaged materials from aged barns (knee-braces, corner-braces, antique ladders, drag harrows, hand-rails, etc), each coat rack is completely unique. The wood is salvaged from barns across Southern Ontario, cut and finished so to preserve the character of the original materials. Each hook was hand crafted from a salvaged railway spike from southern Ontario, finished with oil rubbed bronze paint. Available in many finishes, including white-wash, rustic pine, light chestnut, and more, sealed with a clear-coat or left rough. Custom sizes available.
Hidden Mounting for Coat Racks When mounting rail spike coat racks to the wall, remove the spike hooks to reveal a 3/4 hole with a washer countersunk into the wood to hide your mounting screws. Simply reattach the hooks after you fasten the wood in place. When fastening to drywall, be sure to use the best drywall inserts you can get to ensure a solid and lasting installation.

Barn Door Harvest Table This 4 ft X 8 ft harvest table was once a door on a barn near St George Ontario. Uncut from it s true size, the door makes a unique tabletop full of rustic character. I have left the weather cracks exposed and you can see in the photos there are raised shapes left where the hinges protected the boards from the elements over the years. The table frame is constructed of fir timbers from the same building that was taken down by Mother Nature herself 2 years ago. It is finished is a chestnut stain with 3 coats of semi gloss polyurethane to seal and harden the surface. This table is truly a one of a kind piece of rustic furniture.
Barn Door Coffee Table (with original red paint) This 35 x53 x20 coffee table was made from a hay mow door, salvaged from a barn in Scotland Ontario. Uncut from it s true size, the door makes a unique tabletop full of rustic character. It was left with some of its original, iconic barn red paint in the cracks and dips of the wood, giving this piece some great character. The door was disassembled, cleaned, sanded down, and reassembled before mounting on legs made from salvaged barn-braces. Sealed with 3 coats of polyurethane sealer to preserve the century-old wood.
Old Red Barn Door Dining Table This 77 x 29 x 32 Red Barn Door Dining Table is made from a barn door salvaged from near Rockwood Ontario. The entire barn still had its original red paint intact, including the gorgeous door used for this tabletop. Uncut from it s true size, the door makes a unique tabletop full of rustic character. The door was disassembled, cleaned, sanded down, and reassembled before mounting on legs made from salvaged barn-wood. Sealed with 3 coats of polyurethane sealer to preserve the century-old wood.
Small Hanging Shelves Made from fir roof boards, these shelves are lightweight and ready to hang. The edges of the boards are left with the original character of the wood, salvaged from a barn in Southern Ontario. Size: 18 inches wide. Finished with a chestnut stain.
Bellows Mirror Piece Project for The Revive Studio in Morriston. This 6 foot tall piece is part of a blacksmith s bellows, well over 100 years old. Previously painted, the bellows were stripped completely before being refinished and fitted with an antique mirror, shelf and mason-jars.
