A sheet steel tminal box contai the AVR and provides ample space f the customs' wiring and gland arrangemts. It has removable panels f easy access. VOLTAE REULATORS MX321 AVR - STANDARD SHAFT & KEYS This sophisticed Automic Voltage Regul (AVR) is incped into the Stamfd Pmant Magnet (PM) system and is fitted as standard to gs of this type. The PM provides pow via the AVR to the main excit, giving a source of cotant excin pow indepdt of g output. The main excit output is th fed to the main rot, through a full wave bridge, protected by a surge suppress. The AVR has in-built protecn agait sustained ovexcin, caused by intnal extnal faults. This de-excites the machine aft a minimum of 5 seconds. Ov voltage protecn is built-in and sht circuit currt level adjustmt is an opnal facility. STANDARDS INSULATION/IMPRENATION The iulion system is class 'H'. All wound componts are impregned with mials and processes designed specifically to provide the high build required f stic windings and the high mechanical strgth required f roting componts. QUALITY SURANCE All g sts are wound to 2/3 pitch. This elimines tripl (3rd, 9th, 15th ) harmonics on the voltage wavefm and is found to be the optimum design f trouble-free supply of non-linear loads. The 2/3 pitch design avoids excessive neutral currts sometimes se with high winding pitches, wh in parallel with the mai. A fully connected damp winding reduces oscillio during paralleling. This winding, with the 2/3 pitch and carefully selected pole and tooth desig, sures vy low wavefm distn. s are manufactured using producn procedures having a quality assurance level to BS EN ISO 9001. WINDINS & ELECTRICAL PERFORMANCE 2 All g rots are dynamically balanced to bett than BS6861:Part 1 rade 2.5 f minimum vibrion in opion. Two bearing gs are balanced with a half key. The sted voltage regulion may not be maintained in the presce of ctain radio tramitted signals. Any change in pfmance will fall within the limits of Critia 'B' of EN 61000-6-2:2001.
