annual Seminar success Usually, the annual seminar (formerly called the teach-in ) gets reported on in the April newsletter; however, this year the presentation occurred after the publication of that issue. The feedback on the April 7 and 8 sessions was positive, with 37 attendees at the Saturday session and 24 participants in the two Sunday close-up photography workshops at Tioga Gardens. Well-known photographer and tour guide leader Roman Kurywczak taught and entertained the audience on Saturday with excellent examples of the very useful information and hints he shared with us. His fast-paced and sometimes humorous presentation covered four topics: Photographing Wildlife, Taking Your Macro Photography to the Next Level, Fast Glass for Night Photography, and Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone. His two Sunday workshops centered on photography of plants and flowers. Because Mr. Kurywzcak leads tours in Iceland, the American west, and other locations, his outstanding images were quite varied. And his New Jersey background often showed through in his humor. All in all, another successful event sponsored by our club.
