FLOS Web Configurator GUIDE FOR LIGHT STRUCTURES To make your project, please follow the steps below. Please, first open your internet browser and access to the address: http://configurator.flosarchitectural.net (The application is optimized for use on ipad and the Chrome browser for Windows.) STEP 1 Select the products you want to work with. Click on the image of a collection. Then choose which version of the product you want to use in your project.
To complete the general data. Indicate if you need a project with light control or not. Clicking on the image DALI or DIMMABLE. (Possibilities that differ according to the product) STEP 2 Before you start drawing, just one more question, Will your project be developed on a single plane? For example, the ceiling. -2D MODE- Or will it affect several planes? For example, the ceiling and some wall. -3D MODE- Click on the corresponding icon.
If you choose 2D MODE (as seen in the example) you do not have to point out which side you want to start drawing in, but if you choose 3D MODE, remember to do so. To do this simply click on the bluish cubic image on the left side. For example, on the ceiling, and the selected face will change to orange color. Then on the right side, select the shape of the outline and the actual dimensions of your location. (ATTENTION: all measurements in this application must be in millimeters of decimal metric system.) In this example: Click on RECTANGLE and enter in the three data fields the values: 3000 (mm of height), 6000 (mm of width) and 5000 (mm of length). Finally, [APPLY CHANGES] must be pressed to set the data and adjust the drawing on the screen. If you are satisfied with the data and do not need to modify it, follow the process by pressing: [CONTINUE]
STEP 3 Now we begin to draw. The Drawing board is a blank canvas where you can paint only perpendicular lines. To draw: Within the area bounded by A and B, press and hold the left mouse button while moving the pointer to the end point you want, there you stop pressing the button. A line will be drawn by joining the two points. Please note that if you want to adjust the exact length of the profile, you have to type such length in the field marked with the arrow. When you type the exact length in the (Profile Lenght) field, the line drawn on the drawing board is adjusted proportionally. In our example: Separation from the upper horizontal edge: 1000 mm. Separation from the left vertical edge: 500 mm and an exact line length: 4000 mm.
Finally, [APPLY CHANGES] must be pressed to set the data and adjust the drawing on the screen. From now on, each new click generates a new line attached to the previous one. REMEMBER to set the exact length by typing the length in the field (Profile Lenght). Note: 2 constraints have been set when drawing a project: - You can draw up to 2 separate strokes. - In the same stroke can be made up to 5 changes of direction. If your project should be over these limits, please let us know, and it ll be a pleasure to help you, putting at your disposal the experience of our Projects Department. The remaining buttons on this screen have the following functionality: Select: Select a Stroke. Remove Last: Delete the last line of that stroke. Draw: Continue drawing a line in a stroke. ADD PATH: Add a new stroke.
ESPECIAL 3D MODE: The 3D MODE adds to your project the possibility of using several planes at the same time. For example, the roof and a wall or several walls. That is why the way of drawing has small variations. The most obvious difference is that when drawing a line, if you stretch it to touch a border of the contour, the [CONTINUE ON NEXT WALL] button automatically appears at the bottom Press it and you will see how the next face is highlighted at the moment, and in the drawing board the new wall appears, WITH THE INITIAL POINT of the line that will continue already. So when you move the cursor you will see that the line is drawn with the length you are pointing. Please note in detail that on the ceiling the strokes are seen from above but on the walls you see FROM INSIDE the room. That is, the point of union in a plane is to the left and here the same point is to the right. Taking the example that we were doing in 2D:
To draw another independent stroke, press [ADD PATH] and click within the area bounded by A and B to mark the new start point. Then move around the plane and make a second click to place the end point. Remember to relocate the initial point of this new stroke and the length of it. In our example: Separation from the upper horizontal edge: 4000 mm. Separation from the left vertical edge: 500 mm and an exact line length: 5000 mm. Finally, [APPLY CHANGES] must be pressed to set the data and adjust the drawing on the screen. If you are satisfied with the data and do not need to modify it, follow the process by pressing: [CONTINUE] ATTENTION: The program is noting the measures and changes of direction that the user draws in each moment. To avoid errors in the final listing of components, please when you have to do some rectification of lengths or direction in the strokes use the [Restart configuration]
STEP 5 Place lamps on the strokes. To do this, in the lower-right area of your screen you will find a carousel where you can select the lamps available for each collection. Note: You can see the available lamps by moving the scroll bar under them. Clicking on the chosen one and when its image appears in the blue box will mean that it is correctly selected. Now it is only necessary to mark at which point of the strokes we want to place the lamps. Note: There is not any maximum of lamps to draw. But the amount directly affects the calculation of Power Supplies -Drivers- that will be done automatically at the end of the project. Warning: If at any time you want to delete a drawn lamp, press the [REMOVE MODE] button and then point to the lamp to be erased. Press [DRAW MODE] to redraw. If you are satisfied with the selection and do not need to modify it, follow the process by pressing: [CONTINUE]
STEP 6 We are reaching the end of the process. This screen is courtesy so you can move the 3D view and choose the image that best represents your project. When you have it, press [CONTINUE].... and that's all. END of the project.
The application will calculate the dimensions of the required rails, the components needed for the installation to operate safely and the reference numbers of each of the.
