Abut the Creative Eurpe Desk UK Creative Eurpe is the EU supprt prgramme fr the Cultural, Audi Visual and Creative sectrs acrss Eurpe and beynd. It prvides funding and ther pprtunities thrugh tw sub-prgrammes, MEDIA and Culture, which supprt film, architecture, design, fashin, TV, literature, music, games, visual and perfrming arts and cultural heritage. The Creative Eurpe Desk UK (CED UK) is a cnsrtium led by the British Film Institute and the British Cuncil, wh are wrking in partnership with Creative Sctland, Arts Cuncil England, the Welsh Gvernment, and Arts Cuncil Nrthern Ireland t prvide supprt in each f the UK natins. There is a CED UK ffice in each UK natin, prmting the prgramme and prviding infrmatin and advice t audi visual, creative and cultural rganisatins lking t apply fr funding and ther prgramme pprtunities. This pst frms part f this netwrk f ffices and specialist teams nw wrking frm ffices lcated arund the UK. CED UK-Sctland cnsists f this rle (an Officer fr the MEDIA strand), and an Officer fr the Culture strand (already in place). The Officers will wrk clsely tgether, t deliver a united CED UK-Sctland infrmatin and advice service t audi visual, creative and cultural rganisatins acrss Sctland. In recent years, Scttish rganisatins have been successful in applying fr Creative Eurpe funding and in benefiting frm ther Creative Eurpe pprtunities. The new rle will build n this success t encurage, prmte and supprt successful applicatins and participatin in the Creative Eurpe prgramme.

Creative Eurpe Desk UK Sctland MEDIA Officer Based in Glasgw Salary: 25,758 pa plus pensin and benefits Fixed term cntract until 31 st March 2018, Full-time (36 hurs per week) Creative Sctland is the natinal develpment agency fr Sctland s arts, screen and creative industries. Creative Sctland wrks in partnership with the Eurpean Cmmissin, DCMS, British Cuncil, BFI and ther rganisatins acrss the UK t deliver the Creative Eurpe Desk UK (CED UK), which prvides advice and assistance t the cultural, creative and audivisual sectrs. Creative Sctland is lking fr an fficer t deliver the Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme in Sctland. The fficer will prmte the MEDIA sub-prgramme, prvide assistance t ptential applicants fr Creative Eurpe funding, and design and deliver a variety f events t prmte the CED UK-Sctland MEDIA prgramme. Our ideal candidate will have a successful track recrd f prject management in the screen sectr acrss Sctland. They will be able t demnstrate knwledge and experience f EU funding initiatives and prgrammes, in particular the Creative Eurpe prgramme. They shuld have significant experience f designing and delivering large-scale events. Strng interpersnal skills and teamwrking with a cmmitment t Creative Sctland s cre values are essential. Fluency in a secnd EU language is desirable but nt essential. Sme travel in Sctland, the UK and internatinally will be required. The persn appinted will wrk clsely with rganisatins within film, screen and media and ther key stakehlders in rder t effectively supprt and prmte the Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme. Key Accuntabilities and Respnsibilities Develpment duties and respnsibilities Yur jb descriptin is intended as a flexible framewrk which utlines the key areas f activity within yur jb. Supprt the develpment and delivery f agreed strategic prjects and initiatives that will prgress Creative Sctland s ambitins acrss Sctland, the UK and internatinally. Supprt a number f key partnerships fr yur areas f respnsibility thrugh the prvisin f advice and guidance. Cllabrate with relevant Specialism Heads / Managers t supprt the delivery f Creative Sctland s annual and 10 year plans and the agreed strategy. Maintain a natinal and internatinal verview f yur areas f respnsibility.

Operatinal duties and respnsibilities Ensure the effective prmtin and awareness-raising f the Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme in Sctland including budget management, planning, applicatin assistance and research. Ensure that creative rganisatins within designated specialism(s) receive r have access t advice, guidance and supprt t help them make infrmed decisins cncerning the Creative Eurpe sub-prgramme, and sign pst ther Eurpean funding rutes. Act as principal cntact and lead n Creative Sctland s relatinships with assigned partners within the screen sectr t supprt the Creative Eurpe Desk UK-Sctland and the Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme. As required, give guidance and advice t screen rganisatins relating t Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme applicatin prcess and ther pprtunities. Design and deliver a variety f events acrss Sctland t prmte and establish the Creative Eurpe MEDIA sub-prgramme. Attend events and/r meetings in the UK and internatinally, as reasnably required in cnnectin with the pst. C-rdinate and plan CED UK Sctland MEDIA activities in liaisn with the wider CED UK team. Prvide supprt and guidance t cultural rganisatins in relatin t the Creative Eurpe Culture sub-prgramme, when required. Manage r c-rdinate the delivery f agreed prject related initiatives / activities which wrk twards the achievement f Creative Sctland s visin and strategic pririties. Cntribute t the evaluatin f agreed prjects r assigned prgrammes and participate in crss-rganisatinal grups when required.

Persn Specificatin Qualificatins Either a relevant undergraduate degree r equivalent prfessinal experience in terms f the intellectual, reasning and analytical requirements f the jb. In-depth knwledge and experience f the screen sectr and experience f UK and Eurpean screen plicy area(s) (e.g. educatin, yuth arts, disability, cultural diversity and equalities, audience develpment/marketing, creative industries, etc.) in the UK and in Sctland in particular. Knwledge f EU funding initiatives, in particular the Creative Eurpe prgramme. Experience / Knwledge Sme knwledge f the wider public (and vluntary) sectr in supprt f the creative sectr/arts in Sctland, including Creative Sctland s rle as a natinal arts agency and its relatin t central gvernment, lcal gvernment and public agencies.
