A Message from the President Hi again and here we are in September, I have to send out a big Thank You to Bob Alexander for filling in for me at last month s meeting, Thank You Bob. Lots of great feedback on the meeting! This month is filled with lots of interesting events. I mentioned in error last month that Billy Coonrod would be showing us the IFOLG display. That event will happen at this month s guild meeting. The final items were turned in at last month s meeting and Billy has been working to incorporate all items into the finished IFOLG display. This should be a great visual treat. The display will be taken to Columbus Ohio to the 50 th Anniversary IFOLG in the next few weeks by Billy. The IFOLG Show always has lots of very interesting items to see and be involved with; including displays, show and tell items, many very talented leathercraft persons to talk with, and lots of great competition pieces. An added bonus at the shows is the raffle at the end of the show. There are always some great items being raffled. If you have the opportunity this is a great show to attend with lots of historical influence. The officers got together over the last weekend and put together the Honorary Guild Member Posters. They will be at the guild meeting for everyone to see before being sent to Columbus for display at the IFOLG Show. Here in the DFW we also have some important items on our agenda. Members are asked to attend this meeting if possible, there are some items that all members need to be involved in deciding. In closing let me again encourage members to send in pictures of recent projects, articles that can be considered for the newsletter and just to let us know what you would like to see from the guild. Jerry Pursan just send us some pictures of his recent project, a guitar case. Hope you visit the Facebook page to view it. Look forward to seeing each of you at the meeting on September the 10 th at 1:00 pm. Cartie Leather Stamps by Clay Contact Information Email: cdmiller@msn.com Phone 254-654-4906 Temple Texas 3
