UV CURABLE COATINGS The Morrells range of ultra-violet cure coatings offers an extensive portfolio of technically advanced products for modern mass production applications. materials (cork tiles, woodblock and parquet), doors, architraves and picture frames. Systems based on Morrells UV products will meet the requirements of FIRA Standard 6250 for horizontal surfaces and Severe Use. The majority of Morrells UV products contain do not contain solvents, hence no emissions. Furthermore, due to the speed of cure, energy requirements are lower than those of conventional lacquers. Although applied at considerably lower coatings weights than conventional lacquers, Morrells UV products create durable coatings with excellent chemical and physical resistance properties. They are available in a variety of sheen levels from Matt to High Gloss. As the majority are solvent free, the lacquers can be cured immediately after application. Curing is virtually an instantaneous process, requiring a second components can be stacked and packed straight off the production line. Always prepare a test panel to determine whether the level of discolouration is acceptable. When dry, the treated veneer should be lightly de-nibbed to remove excess salt residue. If staining is required, always apply the stain before the N5 Solution. Lacquers of this type achieve their full resistance properties after approximately 21 days drying depending in conditions, although careful use is possible before this period.
